Playerthree was one of the first developers who jumped on board with Sony PlayStation’s Minis program. Apache Overkill was one of the 50 titles originally listed for the Minis program that actually came out, and came out early (compared to other titles, that is). Then they came releasing Rumble Trucks with no fanfare a year [...]

Growing up in the ’80s, I found educational video games quite common. The Oregon Trail, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, Leisure Suit Larry, and so forth. That has apparently disappeared since gaming now seems to be dominated by consoles and handhelds, devices typically not found in schools, except I guess on dedicated educational [...]

This is actually a bit old, but it was only recently confirmed to be a Mini. It seems to be some sort of educational game, produced by Playerthree, makers of Rumble Trucks and Apache Overkill, and due out in mid-May.
Despite the educational (and somewhat crude) nature of the game, it seems to be a pretty [...]

Apache Overkill from Playerthree was one of the first announced Minis, part of the 50 titles supposedly due out by the end of 2009. Almost a year later, it’s finally been released, though one has to wonder just what took so long, because it’s a fairly simple game.
While simple, the game is quite fun. It’s [...]

Playerthree finally released their first Mini, Apache Overkill, a year after it was first announced. But they also recently announced another PSP title (presumably a Mini) entitled Sub Atomic. Although they say to expect it “soon”, they also say it “hasn’t even sniffed at QA yet.”
