Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, is my favorite monster and one of the only things I thank GX for. He is a BEAST.

Meh, I doubt it. Ever since Duel Monsters ended (the actual original series never made it to American shores and Kaiba's hair was green. *shudder*), the character designs seem to be getting worse and the weird ideas they come up with make me go WTF, like dueling on motorcycles. I mean, seriously?
On a related note, I enjoy those handheld games on GBA and DS. I'm waiting for a 3D version to come to 3DS.

Batman series from TAS to Beyond because it pulled off what everyone wanted in a Bats show and was still running in kids show time slots. I'll include JLA's universe in that.
Cowboy Bebop
Macross Plus miniseries (OVA)
Samurai ChamplooThere are others I kinda liked but these are the big ones.

I have no idea why they thought dueling on motorcycles would be a good idea. I watched the new one, it was real meh. Character design is insanely bad, and they have yet again introduced new monster cards. They are black, and just like the ones from 5D's, they are basically fusion monsters without the Polymerization.
And why does every monster and their mothers have to have effects now!? Back in my day effect monsters where rare and sought after. You wanted an effect, you better have an equip spell card. The Dark Magician was beast and the Celtic Guardian actually stayed on the field for longer than a millisecond. Now common monsters are 3 star, 1900ATK, screw up your whole strategy, pains in the ass.
Alright, your a Champloo fan Joltrabbit!

From what I saw of it, I thought 5D's' story was sometimes fairly interesting, but the premise was pretty bonkers (in both respects, it's like the first (second) Yu-Gi-Oh series). The dialogue in any Yu-Gi-Oh has always been stilted (and not merely due to localization, I'm sure). As for the motorcycles, to this day, I have no idea what the point of it is. I know it has something to do with accumulating "Speed Counters" and something called "Speed World," but why that element of the game necessitates riding on bikes instead of something that, you know, costs less money than a citywide racetrack is beyond me.

I often wondered where in the hell were the Police during all these high speed duels!? I can only imagine the number of deaths that were caused by spikey haired kids speeding down the road at break neck speeds, not paying a damn bit of attention to what's in front of them.

Can anyone here recommend Ikki Tousen? I already know that it's filled with fan service (which I have no issue with), but how is it as a show? Is the plot at least decent, are the fight scenes actually worth a look see (minus the fan service aftermath)?

it's been a while but it's not bad i think.

Anybody else looking forward to The Legend of Korra?
Even though I forgot to add it to my list, Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of my favorite shows, so I'm really looking forward to it's continuation.

For what it's worth, there are police in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds world, and they have chased down Yusei and the like.

I'm kind of looking forward to Korra, though I've actually never seen Avatar.
Here's my 5-months-late answer about Ikki Tousen: I have heard that the plot is fairly complex, because the characters are reincarnations of characters from the centuries-old Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (i.e., the same story upon which Dynasty Warriors is based).
Now might be a good time to point out that the Japanese title of Dynasty Warriors has the words "Three Kingdoms" in it.

South Park.

I've never been a fan of South Park. Never saw the appeal in it really. It's more of a platform for everyone to laugh at something they normally wouldn't, mostly because it's offensive as hell.

@O
Never heard of Korra until now, but it looks good. Oh and please tell me where I can buy a polar bear dog.Posted 1 year ago # -
Polar bear dog? A husky?
Posted 1 year ago # -
I noticed last night that Korra episode 1 is free to download from the PS Store (NA) for the time being, both SD and HD.

Thanks for the heads up, onmode-ky. I've just finish watching it, and loved it. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has to offer.

What's a polar bear dog? Samoyeds are all white but they look nothing like polar bears.
Posted 1 year ago # -
In the world of Avatar, animals take on the characteristics of two animals. A polar bear dog is a polar bear/dog mix.

Oh I see. Got a pic? Is it cute?

And try not to hunt it down!

Holy geebers it's huge! Wonder if there are any wolf/sharks in the show. Reminds me of the Fuzors in Beast Wars.

I hope Freelance doesn't hunt down that enormous 6-legged flying animal from that first episode. I'd hate to see something so catbus-reminiscent get whacked.

You know, when I was a kid, I had a Great Pyrenees. They look just like that polar bear dog. Except maybe only half the size.
Posted 1 year ago # -

Even Freelance would have a hard time hunting a Sky Bison!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Nah, I'd treat it like a T-Rex. BAM! Right in the eye. Looks like a Sky Bison has bigger eyes too. Even easier!

So did anyone catch the premier of Avatar? It was pretty cool. I didnt watch the old one so I cant compare.
Posted 1 year ago # -
I did and it was great.

It looks to hold up to the great action and drama of the original. It hs the potential to be one of the better shows on right now.
I'm also really loving Young Justice. Teen Titans was a favorite of mine when it aired, and it's good to see that Young Justice stands up to it.
