I didn't even buyed AOZ because I find Dracula better. AOZ is childish and short IMO. What do you find of it vs dracula?? NO SMART ASS COMMENTS!

I've tried both, though I played Dracula on the iPod and found it to be average. I wasn't going to waste my money twice on that average(at best) game.
In my opinion, AOZ just has more personality and is more fun. Not really childish at all, you should give it a go.
Dracula got beaten by AOZ as a Mini and got destroyed by various other games on the iPod.

whoops, to late now. :)but seriously, as SiDCrazy say's, it has personality. Dracula feels like a cliche, yes you fight undead.... thats cool, but its not like its something you dont see everyday.
I really like games that take dark subject matter (like the undead), and make it fun, AOZ is just that, its a fun, lighthearted game that takes zombies and makes them cute, ridiculous, and just plain fun.the gameplay is spot on, it might not have as much modes as Dracula but I dont care, the extra modes in dracula are just mediocre, they feel basic.
AOZ really is original, for a "dual stick shooter" to have the sort of health system that fps's usually have of "regenerate health a couple seconds after you get hit unless you get hit again" just works, especially with hords of zombies, because now you just have to stop them from gathering around you, and I think that can be loads of fun.
the sound effects even have love put into them, each era has different sounds (ie when you get a weapon in the 1930's you hear things like "ehhh SMG!" or "fogetaboutit!"), the soundtrack combines stereotypical music of the era and electric guitars, which just turns out sounding awesome.
and the parts of AOZ that are cliche, are funny because they are cliche, whereas Dracula, is just cliche.
basically, Dracula feels like something we have already seen before, AoZ has a unique personality.

I already did play it, I even played it out. And I am not gonna say how :p:p:p:p
I just find it boring (AOZ). The theme and different monsters of dracula really fits to me. In AOZ it are just Zombie's and the only difference that comes it that they maybe change clothes and some ninja's that will come.
LOL Everyone is against me (of this game AOZ), I think I already knew that before I wrote this but WHATEVER maybe I have just different onpinion. I loved rocket racers and M(P)SMP.

MemberAs you say, it's just preference, but most people like it because of its sense of humour. For me, Dracula looks quite boring: it's serious, gritty, and something that you can easily find done better on a console. AoZ however doesn't take itself seriously, it' a fun, humourous albeit short game, but that's pretty much what I expect a mini to be.

MemberI've only just bought Dracula and I haven't played it yet, so I can't really compare the two games just yet.
However, I have played through AOZ and I loved it! It has the great core gameplay that an overhead shooter of this sort requires, but it also has a wonderful humourous nature. It's cute and funny, but also has loving attention to detail. It has a cartoony feel but this is done with great production values. The game oozes quality and was a joy to play! :-)
I have no doubt that I'm going to enjoy Dracula just as much as AOZ - Dracula seems very atmospheric and nicely designed with a lot of thought put into it. I'm really looking forward to playing Dracula, especially as it has been well recommended! :-)
At the end of the day, it's fantastic that we've got two such awesome shooters to choose from! :-) I think it's an added bonus that these two games offer such different perspectives on the same basic game concept (overhead shooter).

For me it's Dracula all the way... don't get me wrong AOZ is a very good game, but Dracula has that hardcore edge and a cool goth atmosphere.
The moment the music starts up (killin' spree) gets me pumped every time. ;)Posted 1 year ago # -
