I am just over halfway through the main story, and so far I'm lovin' it.
I would really like your feedback on this game. ;)
P.S. If you're having problems solving any level (except 1 level in chapter 5, number 7 i think) between chapter 1 and 5, I can help.

Yeah, I really like the game too. I'm doing it for a review for another site and I'm really enjoying it. Only thing I don't like so far is that bubble, the controls are horrible. It bounces off everything which is really annoying when you need to do things in small spaces.
There is one level I was getting annoyed with. It's early chapter 3, you start at the top of the level and have to make your way down the level by pressing buttons on the walls to make the blocks underneath you disappear. I just keep getting killed by those insect mutant things.
Yeh, chapter 3 level 2.
Just stay at the top and send down the bubble to hit the switches.
If your character gets hit once, it's back to the start, but if the bubble gets hit just spawn another.
P.S. If you hate the bubble just wait 'till later in the game.
P.P.S. Update, I have completed (almost) all levels of the main story so if you're stuck make a post, and keep those opinions of the game coming. ;)

I just finished the first page (chapter? segment?) of Archibald's Adventures, and so far, it's delightful - I was worried it would be a bit too childish, but instead it's fun and complicated enough to be interesting. I like the length of the levels as well, long enough to make you think but short enough so you work your way around the puzzle and get the gratification of 'beating a level' (I'd rather have 191 five minute levels than 10 thirty minute levels). I'm not going to say anything else, because I do try not to say too much about a game before I've played a sizable distance into it.

I've been rediscovering Archibald's Adventures - it is such an awesome puzzle game!
I was stuck on several levels and I almost gave up. However I discovered that Rake in Grass (the dev team) have posted great walkthroughs for all levels on YouTube, which has enabled me to get past the bit that I was stuck at.
If you don't have AA, then I recommend that you pick up once the PSN is back online. Great game!
So, how far have you gotten now volcane?

I completed it a long while ago... not 100% though, so I might go back and give it a go again. ;)

My favourite level in the whole game is the 'RAKE IN THE GRASS' level. It's right near the end. I get a real kick out of watching my wife play it on PS3, sometimes the solutions are so simple if you aren't concentrating on the hazards.

1. Brainiac's Mansion = Maniac Mansion
2. More of Hints = ?????
3. Loaded Runner = Lode Runner
4. Night with the Tentacles = Maniac Masion Day of the Tentacle
5. Better Fly the Condor = ?????
6. Fall In = Fall Out
7. Ascent = Descent
Can anyone figure out #s 2 and 5?

I think I've just played the RAKE IN THE GRASS level. I think it is 'Chapter 9 Add-On The Great Cleanup Part II Level 9'
It is the one with the huge spike wall moving across the level making you do a speed run right-to-left over the words "RAKE IN THE GRASS"?

I don't think he's reaching at all! #1 and #4 look like intentional references to me.
As for #2 and #5, hmmmm. Betrayal at Krondor for #5? If not, then I suspect something where "better fly" is a blurring of "butterfly," but then I've got nothing for "condor" (and I don't know any games with "butterfly" in the title).
I'm not sure on #2, though. If we replace "more of" with "less of," does anyone see anything? Or if we blur "more of" into "morov," are there any titles with that (or a similar) word? Or maybe the whole thing is a corruption of "more offense," but I don't know any games by that name.
Obviously, I like this kind of word game. :) Check out this post I made at AtariAge a while ago about something similar in another game.

@ onmode-ky - That's neat. It's nice when something extra is thrown in there like that to make people think. Which is one of the reasons why I could see a thinking game like AA using titles referencing other games. Some good deductions on your part figuring the Price is Right ones.

the 'Better Fly The Condor' one maybe it's the type of bird that needs to be changed... Better Fly The Eagle has a nice ring to it... don't know if it's a game though.
P.S. Did anyone else notice that 'info point' floating outside the 'credits level' contained in a question mark structure? I wonder where the teleporter is hidden?

Does anyone know where I can find some walkthoughs or guides for the very last set of levels?
I'm on the final chapter (12 Add-on: Just for fun II) and I've managed to complete levels 2, 3, 6 & 9 but I'm struggling on the rest.
Rake In The Grass have video walkthroughs on YouTube for all previous levels and even for level 3 of Just for fun II (which have been very helpful!) but they don't seem to have any videos for the others in chapter 12.
Anyone know of any good walkthoughs or help videos for chapter 12?

I know what you mean - those box shuffling levels were especially tricky!
I always find puzzle games hard though. I'm an FPS player at heart, so anything more complex than "find-red-key-to-unlock-red-door" I find particularly difficult, especially when the puzzle solution requires me to do more than just shoot some dude in the head! ;-)
