What PSP games do you own that have online multiplayer features?

It was mentioned in the Modnation Racers thread that we could have a online gaming community where we have a rotating set list of games that we play together. But before we can do that, it would be best to survey what games everyone owns.

I own the following Infrastructure Compatible titles:

Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2
Invizimals
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops +
Modnation Racers
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
Phantasy Star Portable 2
Socom: Fireteam Bravo 3
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Resistance: Retribution
Uno
WipEout: Pulse

I also own a few of the soccer, and hockey games on PSP. But I suspect their servers were shut down.

Yeah, but since owning it I've played maybe 3 or 4 games online. I purchased it the day it was released on PSN and the community has been dead from the very start.

I would love to get a party together on PSP2. I haven't played that online in a while. Hell, I haven't played it offline in a while...none of them now that I think about it. I'm gonna be so pwned if we get this going!

Sounds like a great idea!

A quick scan of my PSP shows that I have the following games installed that I think support infrastructure online multiplayer:

TNT Racers
Neogeo Heroes - Ultimate Shooting (I think?)
Thexder Neo
Stateshift (I think?)
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
Wipeout Pure

I have most of the above except wipeout and I do have fat princess which is whole bunches of fun online :)

Honestly, I think I only have 2...Modnation Racers and Wipeout Pulse.

Volcane, Wipeout Pure doesn't have infrastructure.

the adHOC multiplayer dl for PS3 on the PSN says that it lets you play wireless games online and supports voice chat. I haven't hooked my system up with an ethernet cable to check this yet. Could anyone confirm? I know not everyone here has a PS3, but Fat Princess (I have as well) would be much better with voice chat.

It's just a suggestion, but Skype can be a good alternative for a lack of voice chat. Conference calls amoung people with Skype accounts are free.

Yeah, if you have a microphone you can do voice chat while playing PSP games via Ad-Hoc Party.

My issue is that with Ad-Hoc Party it's a bit harder to set up "clans" or groups. That, and I usually keep my PS3 connected via WiFi.

I don't want to have to go online with my ps3 so that I can play online with my psp

In order to play PSP games online through PS3 I believe you need a wired connection and it's too much of a hassle to get that set up. Also, I'd have to snake a cable across the hall to reach my bedroom on top of that.

I usually suck against other people anyway so it's no loss.

as long as nobody takes it too seriously (one of the reasons why I rarely play online) it should be fun enough regardless who wins!

then there's coop stuff like fireteam bravo :)

I agree, but sadly lots of people online only play to win, and if you mess up somewhere (even when it's coop) they fling all the insults at you. Like geez, nobody's perfect. It's not like the good old days when people played for fun.

plan was to play with just us pspminis.com forum guys but now I'm not sure if the two topics are related anymore!

edit: actually reading the first posts tells me that they are!

Setting a date would be a good idea, give some people time to grab a PSN card or something if they're interested in purchasing one of the games. I'll definitely buy Arctic Edge if it comes up in the rotation.

I'd say we should wait until Monday to do a final tally just so that those away for the weekend get a say. The first game we play should be a title that the largest amount of people own.

There are a few games that I'll happily buy to play online with you guys. I'm using a PSPgo so they will have to be available on the PSN.

For instance, I've been meaning to buy Modnation Racers anyway...

I'd say pick the date first and then see who signs up for round 1 and then pick the game?

what timezone are we all in

I'm on greenwhich +1 (or minus 1 I never remember, it's Amsterdam either way)
