I just went on the store to take advantage of the $0.99 sale they had going on for the game and don't see it anywhere. :(
I even searched for it. Was it de-listed or something?

Yeah it came up up the same for me too. Whats up with that?
Sadly, Zallag, who was publishing SHIFT on PS Minis, went bankrupt. As they explain in this blog post in French language, the bankruptcy causes the withdrawal of their games from the market:

Let's hope their games will be taken over by somebody else and reappear!
I'll take all the money from sales if no one else wants it.

That is a shame. I loved SHIFT and was looking forward to seeing SHIFT2 on PSP :-(
That is so sad. =(
I ended up going to amazon.com to see if they still had it up for sale, and they did. I can confirm that the redeem code they give you works and lets you download it. Although you will be paying $3.99. That really sucks about Zallag though...
This is a little disconcerting. It bodes poorly for the future (in the download realm) if the bankruptcy of a company literally means all their games suddenly completely disappear from the marketplace. Imagine if Midway's bankruptcy had meant that all as-yet-unsold new and used copies of Shadow Hearts Covenant suddenly vanished from stores, and all currently owned copies could never be transferred to another owner.
Sad to see yet another small publisher fall.
Glad I picked it up, then. Passed up on the sale before, and made sure not to do that again. What other games from that publisher are missing, now?
Geez, first Brave Story: New Traveler gets pulled for licensing, and now SHIFT extended for bankruptcy. I just hope any games on the brink are given a heads-up from their publishers when they're about to be pulled, so we can buy them now-or-never (a la XSEED for BS:NT).
@TJF588: SHIFT was their only game on PS Minis as far as I know. Their other titles were on WiiWare and on PC.
I guess it is still available for purchase in the EU store since I just bought it. Happy I got this mini before it disappears! :D
It is very unfortunate hearing so many indie developers going bankrupt... I wonder if Sony done anything to compensate for the downtime since it surely hurt some of the developers, especially those which only have content published for the PSP/PS3. :(
Holy crap thats sad, they probably tried putting the game on sale as a last effort to stay afloat though it was too late. Its weird I bought this game like an hour before it was pulled, but has the game been removed from peoples downloads list? My little brother tried to download it but said he couldn't find it, I just assumed he didn't look hard enough. If its off my downloads list I kinda want a refund since if my PSP breaks I'll never be able to play it again (away from my PSP & PS3 so I can't check).
it should still be in your downloads list. I bought ape quest which was removed (though the demo is still there..) and it's in my dl list.
Yup, it's still in my download list. And I would like to add that after playing through all the levels... I'm even more bummed they are gone. =(
The level design is fantastic.
I recommend the game Crush to anyone who really liked this game, and hungers for more.

I agree with thumbbandit (who recommended Crush to me previously). Crush provides a puzzle solving mechanic in a similar vein to SHIFT, along with a darkly amusing story line and visuals that remind me of Dead Head Fred.
