My version of Legna Tactics came from Humble Bundle, so it was sideloaded, not from an appstore..
I actually just turn off notifications for them, so I probably do have some. I just don't know if I do or not.

I wasn't sure I was enjoying FF12 because Vaan is kinda an annoying whiny kid, but woah, Baltheir is great.
And interestingly enough, his VA's first role was in the movie Project Shadowchaser II, which I have on DVD for some reason.
I bagged this 181.931 moose today!
Moose with antlers that size are probably glad to be shot. I don't even like wearing hats.
181.931 moose
What does that number mean? My first reaction to it was that it's kind of close to the speed of light as measured in miles per second (186,282). Also, why did you shoot a moose that was wearing a toupee? And, er, what game was this in?
I guess it'll take me 10-15 hours overall, due to backtracking to get all the collectibles.
Borrowing that phone once more, I ended up at the high end of that estimate for finishing Tales From Deep Space, probably somewhere in the 13-15 range (and yes, the 'F' in the title's preposition is apparently officially capitalized). Some of the time was spent redoing certain parts where I didn't want to keep going with the amount of damage I had taken. Overall, I found the game quite fun, lots of nifty puzzle-solving bits trying to get the two characters where they needed to go within each "room" of the environments, especially once the teleporter came into play. However, the user interface was frustrating every now and then; combat sounds simple--just tap where you want E to shoot or CASI to punch--but the responsiveness left much to be desired. It was maybe one actual shot per three rapid taps. And, the "drag in the direction in which you want to move" system resulted in unintended moves every now and then, particularly due to the "tap and hold still to use special weapon" part of the UI. At least the issues didn't have much impact in the final boss fight. I actually didn't expect there to be a final boss fight, given the lack of any other bosses and the simple UI, but the three-part encounter was pretty fun. I'd like to go through it one more time, in fact.
The story is, well, not really that interesting, but it is amusingly presented, with British humor throughout the text. As for other elements of the presentation, I found the music unusually forgettable--I guess it fits, but it completely fades into the background--and the iOS version I was playing had some very, very noticeable aliasing. The contrast between the crisp UI and dialogue box graphics versus the jagged edges on objects within the game environment really sticks out.
And so, I've now finished the three Amazon-published mobile games that I've been interested in since 2014/2015 (To-Fu Fury, Til Morning's Light, and Tales From Deep Space). Generally speaking, I'd say they lived up to my expectations. I know it will never happen (Amazon has all but forgotten about these games, upon switching priorities to online PC games), but I'd like to see them released for systems with physical controls. The remaining mobile game Amazon published, Lost Within, is survival horror and didn't catch my eye.

moupee
Me caught an even better moosey! 184.496!! It the score based on Boone and Crockett. Depending on the animal, it could mean the skull size or the weight or in the case of deer, the size and positioning/spacing/length of the rack (antlers). The bigger the score, the better the prize. My scent hound helps me a lot.
I didn’t expect to enjoy dead space 3 so much...
It can be super annoying at times, but it’s fun.
I skipped my afternoon nap for this.
Just beat dead space 3.
Ch 12 - 19 was hell of a ride.
I really enjoyed it despite some crappy moments of overdose action.
The ending leaves for more and EA killed visceral and rest of franchise.
Oh well, just have to make do.
Time for new game plus and getting those collectibles.
Star Trek Online now has a deal where you can buy a real life model of your starship. You can customize them to a large degree, so kinda neat.
Except it costs $350
Looks like FF12 has finally gotten a patch. Hopefully it fixes the ferret's problem.

Sadly it didn't, mew
I haven't written a single thing on this topic since Christmas, so unfortunately there's going to be a lot to read. Sorry for that. I'll try to split the reviews into episode like that one time and make them short and sweet.
FAKE EDIT: Oops, the later ones are longer.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (Switch)
Playtime: 6:43:40 (100‰)
It's ok.
The much more linear design doesn't lend itself well to the forced backtracking at all, some power-ups are underutilized to say the least, the later levels are kinda worse than the first ones, the story is a mess and the final boss is horrendous, but I wouldn't say it's a bad game. It looks and sounds wonderful, and the charm is still there. I just think I'm a little bit disappointed.
Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope (Switch)
Playtime: 4:14:28
It's just as good as when I first played it.
Nothing more to say, really.
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows (Switch)
Playtime: 4:50:31
It's great.
Though the levels are the exact same as the original game, Plague Knight almost makes them feel somehow new. It's such a weird character to control, in a good way. The ending was cute.
Crash Team Racing (PC)
It's fantastic.
The boost mechanic is great, the tracks are all fun (save for Tiny Arena, which I feel is a dozen seconds too long) and there's a crapton of things to do in the Adventure mode alone. Playing it at 1080p 60fps on PC makes it even better.
Blue Revolver (PC)
It's quickly become one of my favorite shoot-em-ups.
The "user-friendly" score system doesn't force you to memorize the entire game to score decently, the extra content you can buy with in-game currency makes every run rewarding, and the dynamic difficulty and Mission Mode are great.
Soon they'll add even more stuff, I can't way.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment (Switch)
Playtime: 3:11:00
In some aspect it's even better than the original game. The story, for one.
Levels are still recycled, but controlling Specter Knight is so snappy and smooth.
During and after this I also played Breath of the Wild for about twenty hours, but I haven't even started any of the four main quests, so I can't really review it.
Though I can tell you that I've absolutely loved what I've played.
Dissidia NT Final Fantasy (PS4 Beta)
Ew.
I don't care about the main gameplay being 3v3, the lower number of attacks and the developers ignoring long-time fans, but if you're going to make online play the main attraction, don't have such an atrocious netcode.
Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS4 Beta)
So much fun.
Probably the most fun fighting game I've played in a while, all thanks to the sheer amount of options available and to the top-notch presentation. And because I won most of the matches I played.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PC)
The new presentation, new music, new V-Triggers and Arcade mode almost make it seem like a different game. An infinitely better game.
In the meantime, I also played some PS2 games, thanks to the McBoot Memory Card. Still haven't played through an entire game, aside from...
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil (PS2)
It's beautiful.
There are less characters than Door to Phantomile and it does feel a tad more "anime" than its predecessor (most notably the jokes), but it's so much more charming as well.
Outside of a couple of stages that were a bit too long, it's an amazing 2D platformer. One of the best I've ever played, honestly.
E.X. Troopers (PS3)
Playtime: 9:21:17
It's pretty boring.
Outside of the boss battles, of which there were too few, the missions aren't really fun. It has a great sense of style, though, that's for sure.
Can't talk about the story, as it was all in Japanese and there are no translations online. I could tell that first two side characters that were introduced get sidelined in the second half, though.
Dead space 3 classic mode.
It’s a real bitch...
The older non custom weapon feels extremely wimpy now.
Weapon crafting was a game highpoint.
Luckily I can farm resources to even a few things.
All else fails I can get witness the truth pack. It has a great looking suit and a weapon that’ll shred those necromorph like wet paper
Hi mew people.
Aside from random PC games, I've been spending a lot of time on my 3DS lately, with Elminage Original, which is an updated version of the original game on PSP. I am making excellent progress with my awesome team of adventurers.
Around the time I was playing E.X. Troopers I also bought MGS4. Seemed like the perfect time to do a...
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
Playtime: 22:55:29 (counting lengthy breaks on the XMB screen)
Alerts: 62
Kills: 89
The story is a mess. It ruined a lot of characters and plot twists from the older games (especially the Patriots' identities), for the sake of nostalgia or just to bring everyone together. Some moments were pretty cool, but many were really bad (like everything involving Naomi, Big Mama and the B&B Corps).
For a stealth game, there's very little stealth. After Act 2, which already included some tedious sequences, the game becomes a series of frankly-boring semi-scripted set pieces.
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PC)
Playtime: 8:22:--
Alerts: 85
Kills: 4 (I don't even know when that happened)
I never want to look at this game ever again. It's so bad. The structure itself just doesn't work. Building your army, a.k.a. the selling point, is completely useless, as the only things they ever developed were thermal goggles. If you weren't forced to do such cryptic stuff to progress, I would've never bothered going back and forth to bring soldiers to the truck at the beginning of the (small) levels. I also had to follow a walkthrough for almost the entire game because some parts are just so cryptic.
The story is the only redeemable part of this game, and even then some moments were really dumb.
Metal Gear Solid (PC)
Playtime: 8:43:12
Alerts: 36
Kills: 79
I still think it's pretty overrated. I still think the backtracking is atrocious. I still think it's sometimes unfair (cameras and enemies are often outside of the screen). Also, just like 4, the game stops being about stealth half-way though. I lost count of how many times you're forced into a fight for extremely dumb reasons (e.g. the tower, the elevators).
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (PC)
Playtime: 13:58:07
Alerts: 50
Kills: 3 (two fell off the bridge at the very beginning, one I cut his throat due to the lack of pressure-sensitive buttons on the emulator. I'm sad as well.)
It's so good. Everything about it is amazing. Why the heck did I dislike it back when I first played it? I don't know why, but I do know I was an idiot.
It's a masterpiece, let's move on.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS Vita)
Playtime: 09:02:32
Alerts: 26
Kills: 0 (I had to replay arguably the worst 45 minutes in the game because I killed a guy with the AK I equipped to try to kill the bugs near an elevator half-way through the escort mission. If you played it, I mean the post-Harrier platforming, swimming, Vamp battle, swimming.)
I realized I liked this game just for the last hour or so. The other 8 were pretty boring, honestly. There were way too many insta-killing parts, too, like the bombs and the falling platforms. Some of its attempts at variety fell short as well.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
Playtime: 46:53:05
This game needed to be about 30 hours shorter. There's just so much padding: most of the so-called "Main Missions" are glorified side-quests with little to no context (while a handful of "Side-Ops" are much more important, funnily enough).
And the flaws don't end there: having to wait in the chopper or for the chopper before and after every mission is awful, the open world is way too big and empty, the final mission is horrible - and the "real" final mission was cut - and many plot points are told and developed through audio tapes.
But the gameplay itself is just so fun. It did keep my attention for almost 47 hours.
And then I didn't play Peace Walker and Rising. Oops.
To date, the only MG game I've finished is still The Twin Snakes. I've played the beginnings of MGS, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4, and MGS:PW, though.
Lately, I've been playing the surprisingly long demo for Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library and the Monster Seal (PSV). I think I've already clocked over 9 hours in it, and it's still going. The portable inventory is a little small (only 30 unique items can be carried at once), and money is scarce compared to shop prices, even with selling acquired items and drops, but it's pretty enjoyable. I think I'm liking it more than my most recent other dungeon crawler experience, which was Xseed's Unchained Blades. I played that on my PSP for 32.5 hours in 2013 and still never got out of Chapter 1; from what I remember, the seemingly endless slog felt pretty static. Meanwhile, these few hours in the DT2 demo have had actual story progression. Maybe my memory of Unchained Blades is too fuzzy, but my remaining impressions of it are that it was primarily creeping around and getting battered, desperately trying to find the next camp site, with no real "bases" (I mean set places to get your party prepped and outfitted for a sortie, like the capital city in DT2).
Anyway, I do hope to finish that demo soon, as I'd like to try out the last remaining demo I downloaded recently, for Invizimals: The Alliance. The other demos I played in the past few weeks were for Pinball Heroes Complete (mentioned in the pickups thread) and Thai-developed Aeternoblade. The latter was not all that interesting, and its characters have some memorably unattractive faces. I got the demo because its gameplay looked similar to that of Anima: Ark of Sinners, a game I was kind of interested in a few years ago. I never got Ark's WiiWare original, partly due to crushing reviews of its controls (but mostly due to not having a Wii), and I skipped the supposedly fixed mobile version, despite it being free, because I can't get along with virtual gamepads. So I played the Aeternoblade demo and concluded that, yeah, I probably would not have liked Ark.

Recently completed dead space 3 classic mode
Boy that foam finger packs a punch.
Almost done with my asuras wrath mortal gauge run.
Ch 18 not going to be fun, let alone it needed to be done twice.
After a near 2 year hiatus I tested my usb to back up save files for nier before I went for ending D.
They just had to throw me a new word on that run. Boo.
Platinum get and just gonna try to focus on getting the remainder words and maxing level to see those stats.
I think I've already clocked over 9 hours in it, and it's still going.
The portable inventory is a little small (only 30 unique items can be carried at once), and money is scarce compared to shop prices, even with selling acquired items and drops, but it's pretty enjoyable.
Anyway, sorry, but I'll have to post the following. Long overdue.
I went to my local Gamestop to look for some used games to buy (there was a sale). Other than Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, which I've played very little of, I only found...
No More Heroes (Wii)
Playtime: 11:03:--
It's pretty cool.
Grinding for money is awful. Really awful. If I wasn't also listening to Youtube videos in the meantime I would've never been able to do the same menial task over and over and over again just to buy the next level.
Other than that, it's a really fun game. Levels never overstay their welcome, their structure always changes. I didn't feel that the battles were repetitive, either, weirdly enough. The story and themes are very interesting, and even though almost every single attempt at a joke fell flat, I liked the dialogue and the characters.
I immediately replayed it on the hardest difficulty. Not nearly as tough as people said, but it was fun not having to grind nearly as much.
Then I decided to play what people call Suda's magnum opus.
Killer7 (PC)
I loved every single thing about it. Especially the story and how open to interpretation it is. I'm making up my mindcanon every single time I think about it, and it's fun.
I don't have anything else to say, other than "please play it".
Then I wanted to finish the only game I had left.
Killer is Dead (PC)
Playtime: 6:28:47
Its gameplay is arguably better than any other game Grasshopper Manufaturer has made before it, with satisfying dodges and counterattacks, but the story is just so bad. For some unexplainable reason Killer is Dead takes several cliches, that were made fun of in No More Heroes, too seriously, resulting in a boring, generic plot.
LISA: The Painful RPG (PC)
Playtime: 7:45:27 (+ ending)
It's funny and heart-breaking and horrifying at the same time and I have no idea how they managed to balance all that. The battles themselves might feel too "RPG Maker-y", but everything else is so creative and fun that I didn't mind at all. The music especially is fantastic.
If you have five bucks to spare, be sure to buy the full pack when it's on sale, that's what I did.
LISA: The Joyful (PC)
Playtime: 2:33:01 (+ ending)
This DLC, which doubles as sequel, is so much worse than the main game. Your party is too small, the enemies too tanky, there's little humor and some characters, especially the protagonist, are the exact opposite of how they were portrayed in the original.
Yet I'd still recommend it.
Golden Sun (Wii U)
Playtime: 19:27:--
The story is pretty bad. Really bad. Repetitive dialogue, overly long scenes, too much exposition, boring characters, lack of direction, you name it. But there is one thing that kept me playing: the dungeons.
The dungeons in this game are actually fun. Yeah, I know, that's so weird. There are so many fun puzzles to solve in each and every one of them (with no random battles to annoy you while you do), and none of them outstay their welcome. You can imagine the joy when I found out that the secret dungeon is nothing but puzzles and mini-bosses.
Battles are also kinda fun, with all the summoning and everything, though more often than not lacking in challenge. I loved how you replenish MP by simply walking around.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope (PC)
Playtime: 33:30:01 (+ ending)
Here's the review.
To sum it up: I liked the Star Trek-esque feel of the game (or at least what I assume is Star Trek), up until it devolved into standard JRPG fare. Every single character is insufferable in one way or another. Dungeons are boring hallways. The battle system is the only reason I enjoyed the game, even though it's supposed to be a much, much more simple version of the Tales of games (which are still sitting on my backlog, every single one of them).
Animal crossing pocket camp.
My new crack
Finally unlocked obliterator gauge for asura...
I been playing Elminage Original (on 3DS) religiously every night and on the bus, and have finally made me way to the final dungeon. Also playing various PC games but I not gonna list any cause it changes every day.
I've played a few hours of Shadowrun Returns today (just reached my base of operation, I think) and I don't think I like it.
Party members come and go and are impossible to customize, money is way too scarse and most importantly the battles are incredibly boring. The battle system is basically XCOM: Enemy Unknown's but bad, and that's all this game has to offer besides a whole lot of text to read. The writing's fine, but not enough to make me want to play ten more hours of this.
I swear I want to get into CRPGs.
I just beat Elminage Original. Huzzah! That makes the third 1st person dungeon crawler I've won.
Oh, congrats.
What were the other two?
One is Grimrock, I assume.
Personally I've only beaten Demon Gaze and Mind Zero.
I beat most of the old school ones. The Bards Tale 1-3, Might and Magic 1-6 and the Xeen games, Eye of the Beholder 1-3. Wizardry 6 and 7 (though I needed a hint book for that). Haven't beaten any lately
Yes , Grimrock is one. The other is The Dark Spire. I've almost beaten M&M 4. I got really far, but then my PC died and I never did beat it.
Oh, I should mention mew that I am currently spending a lot of time with Witcher 3. I don't play it much 'cause I sometimes get sickie while I play and have to stop, but I -want- to play it, 'cause I love the series. I did very well so far. Did a ton of quests and stuff.
The only game that ever did that to me was Descent.
So I just started playing Grimrock 2 (I got sick playing Witcher today) and I made a Lizardman Knight, a Insectoid Fighter, a Human Wizard and a Ratling Farmer. I named the Ratling Rattrap.
