~Vector TD, a tower defense game, was released yesterday on the Playstation Store, as you probably know. The game was originally a flash game online at candystand.com, but they decided to port it to the PSP. Vector TD's gameplay is brilliant. You can choose from 8 different courses to play through. The gameplay is similar to Fieldrunners, however, unlike Fieldrunners, you can only place towers alongside already made paths. Another thing different than Fieldrunners is that you cannot return to the middle of a game after a day or two. You either have to finish it or quit in the middle of the game.

~ As you can see, there's 11 different towers to choose from. The first four are green, blue, purple, and red. The other seven are just better versions of those four towers. Every tower is upgradeable, the max you can upgrade it is 10 times. You can also sell towers for 75% of the purchase price. Occasionally, you will come across a bonus. They can be redeemed for four different things. "Cash Bonus," which will increase your cash by a certain percent every time you finish a wave. "Panic," which will give you an extra five lives. "Damage Booster," which will up the power of all towers in range by 25%. And finally, "Range Booster," which will up the range of all towers in range by 25%. One of the downsides of this game is that it does not keep your highscores. Personally, I think that this is something they could have improved. The controls are easy and simple to learn. There is also an option "autowave," which means that waves will come automatically. Otherwise, you have to hit "triangle" every time you're ready for the next wave. You start with 20 lives, and there is a total of 50 waves each game. That may not seem like much, but it normally takes about 30-45 minutes for the average person.

~ As you can see above, the game gets pretty insane and intense :) Anyways, all in all, this Mini is pretty good for the price of $3.99 (US). If you wish to try out the online flash version, follow this link: http://www.candystand.com/play/vector-td. If you want to see the actual Mini in action, check out the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdjlNimo8zk. In comparison to Fieldrunners, I would actually have to say Fieldrunners is better, however, it is also more expensive. For the tower defense fan, this is a must-buy. Hope this helped for anybody considering buying the game!!! :)

It's a great game, but there are 2 really bad things on it:
1. No highscore table.
2. No possibility to save the game. It's a 8/10 from me, and it would be a 10/10 if those functionalities were solved.
