Given that we keep finding out about upcoming Minis but then hearing nothing about them for a good while before they release, I decided to start a topic where we can keep track of what's known to be coming. A "don't lose the hype" thread, if you will. ;) Like the Fun Level Increase thread, this should be periodically bumped so we don't, you know, lose the hype. I thought of reviving the Definitive Upcoming PSP Minis List thread for this purpose, but since that one was really meant to discuss a specific 2009 blog post, I'll just start a new topic.

In no particular order, here's what I can recall to be on the way:

Flying Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims - Dakko Dakko
Arson and Plunder - Ninja Fever
Golf Mania - Icon Games
Marble Boy - Icon Games
RaceTrax - Icon Games
Velocity - FuturLab
I Kill Zombies - Open Emotion Studios
Carnivores: Extreme Hunting - Beatshapers
Defenders of the Mystic Garden - Twisted Dragon Media
Revenge of the Recipe - Twisted Dragon Media (currently on hold)

Anything else? Beatshapers has 3 other Minis on the way, though the titles aren't known, and G1M2 probably has at least the last 2 remaining SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 0 games coming. I'm pretty sure Laughing Jackal has at least one thing in the works, but I can't remember if they've revealed any specifics. Open Emotion had more, too, no?

Devs, feel free to chime in yourselves. :)

That Canabalt mini looks maybe cool.

Icon is reporting Golf Mania has an EU date now, April 4th, same as I Kill Zombies for EU.

Golf Mania and I Kill Zombies both next week in EU? That is more fun for than I can handle in one week! :D

I am a bit sceptical about Revenge of the Recipe ever being released though. How long ago was it that we first hear about it now? With TDM getting close to releasing a different game I doubt it will ever see the day of light (at least on the PSP anyway).

I Kill Zombies released today, as per the schedule noted above, but Golf Mania is not in the EU PS Blog's Store Update post. What happened?

These are not all of the minis that may come out soon. Rember when they rated the third farm frenzy tittle Farm Frenzy: Pizza Party. Also the two games from Oyaji, Vampires vs. Werewolves and Mecho Tales but, that is if they ever release. Anyways, I really love this thread. I forogot about Arson and Plunder, what is the genre of that mini.

Nope, I live in the US. Where did you get Mecho Tales? Is it a mini like Mecho Wars.

Darn it, complete title fail on my part. Just saw the "Mecho" part and kinda skipped over the rest. I heard Mecho "Tales" wasn't a very good game any ways. Were did you hear of it becoming a mini anyways? Luc Bernard made a post about Mecho Tales, Mecho Wars and VvW: Angels of London last year. I would link you to it but I'm on my Vita so I can't. He asked which of the three we'd like to see most and Mecho Wars got the lowest rating but so far it's the only mini.

It's cool, it's just that I saw the same thread of the poles and, an article on VvW, Mecho Tales and Wars with screen shots. I would link you the article but, I am doing this on the PSP.

I also forgot about Steam Pirates. I think Oyaji is not working on the games I just mentioned. If only they were, the artwork is amazing.

Time to step in me thinks, I remember reading on this site somewhere that Mecho Tales, Vampires Vs Werewolves and Steam Pirates were all cancelled for the minis program... I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

I just bought Golf Mania. :D

Despite the description saying it only works on the PSP it does in fact seem to download on the PS Vita which is awesome.

I wonder how the lack of any advertising from Sony will affect Icon Games' sales though. It appear in the weekly drop blog post on the EU blog nor does it appear in the latest releases on the store. The only way I could find it was by searching. :(

raing3, is Golf Mania fun, I loved all of the games from Icon, so this might be a lot of fun.

@raing3 - thanks man, really appreciate you checking out the availability of GolfMania.

I'm going to speak to Sony on Tuesday to check that out - I also noticed that the preview video is missing too, which is odd.

Definitely go shake down Sony for some answers on why they've gimped Golf Mania's release by not even having it appear in the New Releases area and leaving it out of the PS Blog post. That's just about the equivalent of every brick-and-mortar store keeping a new-release physical product in The Back instead of out on the shelves.

Well, I was intending this to be a list of titles which we can expect to have a reasonable chance of actual release. The Oyaji games that aren't out yet, if they haven't been explicitly canceled, it's certainly been a loooooong time since they were last even mentioned anywhere as being in development for Minis.

As for the Farm Frenzy titles, I guess I'll add them in, but pre-release ESRB ratings haven't been particularly good indicators for titles actually coming out, much less coming out within several months of the ratings' appearance. Alawar doesn't seem to talk about what/when they're releasing for Minis, either, as far as I can tell.

Anyways, I really love this thread. I forogot about Arson and Plunder, what is the genre of that mini.

Arson and Plunder is supposed to be a beat'em-up, at least generally speaking.

Hey guys - just a quick update as I noticed on the list we had a couple of titles.

Marble Boy - Icon Games
RaceTrax - Icon Games

RaceTrax is cancelled unfortunately. We just couldn't get the framerate we needed to get the 3D levels/track building stuff working, and we didn't have enough time to fully optimise given our schedule with Vita (we're only a 3 man team).

Marble Boy was on hold for a while while I focused on Pub Games, but I aim to get back onto it in a few days.

While Defenders of the Mystic Garden is in the middle of its release window, we are re-tooling and trying to bring back to life Revenge of the Recipe. However, if it does get spun back up, we are really thinking to pitch it as a Vita title. We is really just me, Ish. Kind of one manning it, and outsourcing mainly some of the art and music. Depending on how this current game does will determine if I can handle the costs and likely longer development cycle for Vita. If not, I may make another Minis game, assuming it's compatible with Vita. For some reason, SCEA hasn't been releasing new Minis as compatible on Vita, but I think SCEE is.

M.O.Z.O.X. Space Salvager is not available in SCEA, and I'm not certain about SCEE. If someone in the SCEE region can let me know I'd greatly appreciate it, and also if Defenders of the Mystic Garden works there, when it releases next Wednesday.

I think it is out on the 24th in US.

Although SCEA are not our favourite people at the moment :(

Thanks Rich, been waiting on that. And wow, big surprise that Sony aren't your favorite people right now. They've been pissing us off for years.

So I'm tracking Golf Mania, I Kill Zombies and Velocity. I don't think I'm excited about any others. Did I miss any?
