Hi, I love the website - it is the only website dedicated to the PSP Minis collection - however two little suggestions.

Firstly could there be a list of Mini Reviews that you'd done but with the ability to rank them by score.

Secondly could their be a function where readers can rank the Minis out of 10 and then there would be an average score. And the you could also rank the game by readers scores.

It's just because when I've got a couple of quid on the PS Store, and want a Mini, I obviously only want to only buy the better ones and these two functions would really make it easier for me!!

I read on Facebook, that pspminis.com will be soon closed :-(, I think that authors will not add new features to this site...

@ZOOMERMINI: Great suggestions!

For those who are familar with PlanetPhillip, Phillip uses a great system for providing his personal rankings and reader reviews/feedback regarding Half-Life modifications (free maps/mods created by the community for the Half-Life 1 & 2 games on the PC).

Perhaps the PSP Minis site designers might find some useful ideas among those used by the PlanetPhillip folks?

I have a suggestion - I would love to see an additional RSS feed created that automatically captures all comments posted directly on any news item.

These items aren't currently captured by the current RSS feeds (unless we subscribe to a new RSS feed for each and every news item posted). This would work in the same way as the existing 'recent forum posts' RSS feed, but for the comments posted directly on news items.

I'm a heavy user of RSS feeds and currently subscribe to the three main RSS feeds on this site (the main news page, recent forum posts & recent forum topics).

I feel that I'm missing the comments that people post on specific news items over time. While I of course read the comments posted directly on news items at the time I read them, I don't really have time to go back to revisit each and every news item to see if there have been any new comments posted since I last checked.

It's nice to be able to create an individual RSS feed for specific news items of interest (which I know we can do), but this doesn't really help if we want to see all comments posted on any/all news items. To be honest, I'm interested in all of the comments posted by readers of this site and so I'd certainly find a catch-all RSS feed for all news item comments very valuable! :-)

While I do not represent the site, I think its safe to say that you are asking for a lot of work to be done here, and it's kind of unlikely that it would happen anytime soon. I'm not saying that it will never ever happen, I am just saying don't expect things like that to happen right now.

But its good that you have suggestions and ideas on how to improve the site, go ahead and post more when you have them, even when there are chances it might not happen, just make sure you put them in the "Site Feedback and News" section as it is most appropriate for things like that.

Both, excellent ideas.

The first, "a list of Mini Reviews that you'd done but with the ability to rank them by score" is something I definitely would like to see happen. At the moment I don't have the budget for a PHP programmer to add that modification. However, as soon as I do this is the first feature I will add.

Your second suggestion is great and something I would like to add but isn't a priority.

So while I have full intention to add your first suggestion, and like your second one, I can't give any guarantees to when I can get it implemented.

Thanks for the suggestions though. Keep them coming.

Perhaps you could add a 'support this site' function that allows people to make small optional financial contributions to help fund the site? I'd be more than happy make a small contribution as I think this site provides an extremely valuable service to the PSP Minis community.

How about my RSS feed suggestion above? That would be great as I generally miss most of the comments/discussion that is posted directly to the news items because there isn't a single catch-all RSS feed for them, as there is with the forum posts.

Chris will likely give his official word, but from what I gather, the site is not being closed. There was a misunderstanding between Chris and the person that ran the Facebook page, but that is now resolved, and there are no plans to close the site - I think it's just getting warmed up personally :)

No, the site is not closing. As James said, there was a misunderstanding. Would prefer not to go into the details. The good news is we'll be around for the foreseeable future :)

I'll consider the donation idea, though can't say I'm a fan of that kind of thing. It's not a bad idea mind you, just not how I usually do things.

Well, I'm just glad the site's not closing. This is an awesome site, one that would really disappoint me if it was closing. :)

I also have a suggestion: Could we have smileys for the forums like we do in the comments on the home page?

And this is sorta off-topic, but why did the Facebook fan page close?

Facebook fan page closed again because of the misunderstanding.

Similes might be an option. Will have to look into it later though. It's on my to do list :)
