Hey there Ofaliss (and everyone),
At Frima, we've been watching over this thread for the last few days and we are really glad that the minis community still shows interest and appreciation towards our game and our business! Thumbs up for the effort altogether, it's things like these that ties communities together, as mentioned by Evanac. Thanks to everyone who's been voting for us!
You can poke me for any question and/or comment either via Twitter (@gestonge) or e-mail at genevieve.st-onge@frimastudio.com, I'll be more than happy to have a chat with you guys!

I think the developers should be able to link it from their sites, brings pspminis.com more publicity, for free!

Just in case some of you jump straight to the last page on a thread and not check out the others, lj_ross asked...
Thanks again for doing this. It's great to see us up for so many awards. Would you object to us linking to the forum or the polls on our Twitter and Facebook and mentioning the vote or would you see that as vote stuffing.
I replied...
Personally, I would rather keep it so that the community here decides the winners. But since this was a community effort, wait and see what everyone else has to say about it. If they do give you the green light, it really won't bother me all that much. :)
As I was just about to get some sleep, I thought about it a little more. Why deny anyone who enjoys minis the chance to vote for their favorites? Our voices have been heard just by putting this whole thing together. So why not let the developers put the word out that their games are in a bout for supremacy!?
Not to mention more traffic to the site, which could mean more people in the forums. So lj_ross, and all the other developers, you have the okay from me to spread the word to your fans. But like I said before, this was a community effort, so wait to see what everyone else says first. :)

Well I'm pretty important here and I say no problemo. Lol. Great Job O!
Posted 6 months ago # -
once we're done with this one, we can spread the word. just be wary of spammer and trolls that can ruins things, no objections.
Posted 6 months ago # -
I'm just happy to contribute to the great idea the O-man had in doing this.
lj_ross, you have a green light from me... the more we shine the spotlight on minis, the better it is for everyone here. ;)

Well as long as a few other developers tweet/post about it, its fine by my. But if only one or two do, its kinda like "poll stuffing." Because presumably the followers of those devs would already be fans. e.g. In the best (blank) catagory dev X has 5 votes and dev Y has 8 votes. Then dev X tweets "Hey everybody there's a mini nomination going on!" Then five people follow the link and vote for dev X. Leaving it with 10 votes compared to dev Y who didn't even know about any of this.

It's a tough call to make, because so far it has been an unbiased project. I wanted it that way, and I'm proud it has turned out that way, so far. But by letting you guys put the word out, we potentially open Pandora's Box, and all unbias could be thrown out of the window.
ARGH! I'm flip flopping, but I really don't want to say you can put the word out. But I don't want to say you can't either.
onmode-ky is no where to be found when you WANT his opinion!

@O-man
Make a lot of grammatical errors and he'll be all over it. lol
;)Posted 6 months ago # -
Yea TB, yuor totaly rihgt. Im glad that my gramer is prety good. I woudnt want him to come at me whith his speling checks.
Think all that will do the trick?
Posted 6 months ago # -
i hope onmode isn't too busy with Skyrim or something cause that can be it.
Posted 6 months ago # -
Oh crap, you're right. Remember when Ofaliss bought Catherine and we all thought he died in front of the TV?
Posted 6 months ago # -
Geez, ChaosRandom, you know you shouldn't use the Bat-Signal like that unless it's a real emergency.
I'm not busy with Skyrim (don't even plan on getting it). I haven't said anything on this subject because I can't decide, either. The community here is small enough that even a miniscule influx of community-external fans of a single studio would significantly slant the voting. But how do we go about guaranteeing every studio represented in the polls gets an equal-ish injection of external input? If our community were bigger, outside influence wouldn't be a big issue, but we don't have that luxury. So, I'm not sure what to do.
As for ChaosRandom's post, here's the fixed version: "Yeah, TB, you're totally right. I'm glad that my grammar is pretty good. I wouldn't want him to come at me with his spelling checks. But, it wouldn't be so bad, because he is, without a shred of doubt, the coolest, most awesome guy in this entire forum. And isn't it also amazing how unbelievably modest he is? He doesn't have to make up quotes about himself at all!"

I'm not sure anyone else has the capacity to translate that better than you just did. Lol
I had said I didnt care before, but now O and onmode are making a lot of sense. There would be some bias.
Posted 6 months ago # -
good to know onmode didn't get skyrim, and O-man is all we know too awesome to die from overdose Catherine. we'll just keep growing as an online community, but i'm killing trolls and pottymouths if they spoil what was good, and what will be good. that's my 2 cents.

the polls should be featured on the main page should they not? might encourage some of the moochers to join in on the discussions
Posted 6 months ago # -
If they haven't already, you mean. ;)

I think it's a great idea to get the word out, as long as everyone's doing it so as not to rig the voting in favor of an individual developer. And perhaps it will persuade other mainstream gaming sites that minis are not a waste of money and talent. I'd say that the Minis program is kind've like what Nintendo has going for it in their e-shop with the DSI-ware/Wii-ware content, except here the pricing structure is slightly better. A lot of the complaints I hear from said sites are that minis are too over-priced, but in truth, when compared to that of the DSi and Wii-wware, that isn't the case, and one could even say that prices are even more flexible here than they are on that platform. But alas, I have strayed from my originally intended comment, for all that was said is for another discussion.

@Ofaliss: I just realized how negative my post sounded! Sorry about that, the idea behind this and the work you put into sorting everything out is awesome!
Also I think it would be good for developers to promote this on their social networking accounts. I know I follow a lot of minis developers on Twitter/Facebook and I'm sure given the cheap price of minis a lot of people would have branched out to more than a single developer making them less likely to be biased.
Plus more traffic for the site means a larger community which could convince some of the developers who have left to return to the minis program again (however unlikely this may be). :P

I didn't find any of it negative. I like the idea of posting the links to the polls on this thread, but I botched it. I may give it another go when I get time, see if I can make something work. Maybe break up the links into multiple posts. Your other suggestions were good as well.
Even if it was negative, I gave up the right to be mad when I asked for everyones opinion. So don't sweat it. :)

Since voting ends tomorrow, I bumped all the polls up in the forums. It pushed a few threads back to the second page though, sorry to the people who started them.
I copy/pasted the same thing for all of them.
Voting ends tomorrow, so if you haven\'t voted yet... why not you bum!?
So save yourself the time of checking to see if I said anything worth a fart.

I was considering checking but I decided to check here first. Glad I did.

Doesn\'t matter I was checking anyway to see how we were getting on :)

@Linhat
We\'re done the nominations but if hurry and check out the poll threads in the forum you can still vote for a few of your nominations.Posted 6 months ago # -
Wow, Linhat, how\'d you manage to keep your posting needs in check for nearly an entire year after you first registered? :P
Anyway, welcome to the forum--or, at least, to posting in it! You\'re definitely too late for the nominations, though. As Balrog notes, however, you still have time to vote in the actual poll threads.
Posted 6 months ago # -
The one time I avoid poking at a member for not posting in forever, turns out he/she really hasn\'t posted ever.
I\'ll put up the congratulatory thread in a few hours, seriously, so get in any last minute votes while you still can.
I wonder if Jasper would be kind enough to delete the polls shortly after I do. I kind of feel like I\'m littering if they just sit there.
