   What Are They
   PSP Minis are a new range of downloadable, small-sized, games that will be sold through the PlayStation Store. As Sony’s puts it they are “fun, affordable, creative, easy to play and different”. This range of games are obviously inspired by the Apple app store games, which tend to be lower budget and lower priced then traditional games. Clearly Sony wants a piece of the surprisingly large pie Apple are enjoying where consumers have access to quality, but low cost, games that are easy to store and quick to download and play.

   Hey Chris, have any of the developers announced any firm pricing? I can't afford to upgrade to a PSPgo but I'm hoping to pick up several minis on launch day if the price is right.

   Fieldrunners and minigore is coming October 1st. Let's just hope minigore has more content then the iPhone version.

   Well, iPhone games atleast. But due to having buttons they will probably play a lot better then on the iPhone

   I doubt it. Without an accelerometer to detect tilting or a touch screen I don't see how this is possible. You need the buttons.

   Yes, one developer said they had 30 games in the pipline all priced at $1.50 - $2.50. I belive that is just the price point they are aiming at. I think the range should be from $1 to $10.

   That price range is pretty good. Like one of your articles mentioned.
   Can't wait, I'm enjoying casual games lately. Even though I'm a hardcore gamer lol.

   Thanks for the reply Chris. I have this feeling that I'm going to end up with quite the PSN bill on my credit card statement as a result of the minis program. $2 here and $4 dollars there really adds up but I'm really looking forward to all of the diverse game content the minis program looks to offer.

   Though I might be able to help out a tiny bit there as I have one developer offering coupons for us to give-away in a draw of some kind. Will let you know.

    i wonder how often we'll get minis. like a few every week? a certain number a month. would be cool to get a few minis every week. plus will we get demos or "lite" versions for minis as well? i feel thats crucial to have before i make any blind 5-15 dollar purchase.

    If what Sony said is true we should be getting on average 4 a week. They promised 50 by the end of the year.

    Since they launched October 1st that leaves 3 months to get 50 minis out. 50/12 is 4.1666. So on average 4 a week I would expect. Obviously some weeks there will be more, like the first week, and some weeks less.

    If more and more developers jump on board then this number could increase.

    3-4 a week sounds about right Chris. I think when the go launches in JPN on Nov 1st, we might see a little bit of a boost with some global releases from Japanese based developers.
