Yall are probably already tracking this, but there are a few sweet deals under the special offers section of the store. Including: Tactics Ogre for 50% off, 3rd B-Day for 10 bucks off, and a sweet Lord of Arcana deal. I'll probably pick up Tactics Ogre. Already have (and love) 3rd B-Day.

I think I'll go ahead and download 3rd Birthday. The reason I haven't finished it yet is because I don't bring my 3000 with me when I leave the house, and when I'm home I'm playing my 360 (that or sleeping my ass off).
But since I always grab my Go when I head out, my chances of finishing it go up drastically. I'll likely download it sometime next weekend.
Now all I need is a price drop on Gods Eater Burst and I'll be good to go.

I want 3rd Birthday but I'd rather get it on disc... hopefully I can find a copy at EB soon.
Did anyone else notice they were listed in the wrong place on the Playstation blog? All 3 are labeled as PS3
Posted 8 months ago # -
Yea, but I didnt pay it any attention. My 3rd B-Day is on disk. I love that game. If Gods Eater Burst ever went down I might would get it. Isnt it kinda like MHFU? Which by the way is turning out to be one of my all time favorites.

Couldn't wait until next week so I downloaded it earlier and am just waiting for it to install.
Yeah, it's a post apocalyptic version of MH. The cool thing about GEB, you get to take a party with you on missions, making it easier to play. GEB also has a story, MH doesn't really.
you also get to use guns in GEB.
Posted 8 months ago # -
Those are actually not special offers but rather permanent price changes, I think.
And yeah, Gods Eater Burst is sort of like D3's Monster Hunter Freedom, as Lords of Arcana is Square Enix's, and Phantasy Star Portable is Sega's. Does Konami have one?
Posted 8 months ago # -
I havent played with Brea (wink) in a while. So GEB has AI parties to go with? Thats cool. Also, MHFU does have types of guns, just not like GEB. I read a so so review of GEB from IGN, but I dont pay that much attention because Gamespot gave MHFU a crappy score and I love it. I kinda wish I had a go too.

I'm about to get some hands on time with her now! ;)
I guess you could call Peace Walker Konami's Monster Hunter, onmode-ky.

there are 3 games I want to get at the moment. Persona 3 portable, the 3rd birthday and mega man powered up. I'm gonna get Persona 3 portable first because that's the rarest out of the three mentioned above. It's pretty expensive 28-40 Euros. I am gonna take the risk and order it at Zavvi.co.uk very soon.
Posted 8 months ago # -
@pspgamer
When you say "take the risk", what do mean exactly? Reason I ask is because I've been wanting to order a copy of Gundam: Rengou VS Zaft, but dont know a good place to do it. Does this Zavvi site do imports?
Posted 8 months ago # -
Play-Asia is a good site to go to for imports, but I tried looking up Gundam Seed: Federation vs Z.A.F.T. Portable and they don't have it. This is the one your looking for right?
I did see some copies being sold on Amazon new for $69.98, plus $4.61 shipping. The seller has a high rating, and Amazon has you covered if you do have any problems with the seller or the item.
Posted 8 months ago # -
@ChaosRandom
Because they got lot's of bad reviews. They are known to cancel your order after you order something and have really bad customer service. You can check out reviews of webstores on reviewcentre.com for example. I recommend amazon, ebay for buying games.@Ofaliss
A few years ago I ordered a game there. The package got lost in the post or something and the customer service said they were gonna research it. I've send them a few emails for a refund but they never replied. So I was fucked....Posted 8 months ago # -
I can also buy it at play.com but look at this review. I've bought form play.com before. But never had to use the customer service. The customer service seems to be as worse as zavvi.com. As I read the bad reviews of play.com, I am thinking of never buying from them again. I don't want to give money to companies that rip off people.

Now we need a price drop for God Of War Ghost of Sparta, and I will be a happy gamer =)
Posted 8 months ago # -
Where have you been Shaz!? You and Hellboy seem to make a habit out of disappearing for long periods of time and returning randomly and briefly!
Posted 8 months ago # -
I have enough games in my backlog that it lets me wait on sales. I got Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Phantasy Star Portable 2 for $16 each and MGS: Peacewalker and The 3rd Birthday for $20 (which, almost means I got PE 1 and 2 for $1.98 total for waiting!).
I'm tempted to wait to see if CalDun X or the Ys games go on sale between now and the holidays.
Between CalDun X and X2, should I wait until the first goes on sale or buy the 2nd for having more content/maybe smoothing out some issues with the first (I've seen reviews say the 2nd had less of a story than the first).
Posted 8 months ago # -
Yea, thats the PS2 version. I believe the PSP version is a port with some extra game modes. Your 69.00 link is the one I want. All the Gundam games are confusing. I know its expensive, but I still want it. I've been wanting an import for a while and a Gundam game for even longer.
@pspgamer
Thx for that heads up. Think I may use Play Asia.

Play-Asia.com has good customer service, in my experience. Years ago, when I ordered a Game Boy Player from them, I threw a fit when they dropped the price by $10 after shipping mine out (it may have even been the same day). They pointed out that they had no post-order price guarantee (as Amazon.com had at the time), but, acknowledging that it was understandably upsetting to have a price drop in such close proximity, they went ahead and gave me back $10.
Something to keep in mind at Play-Asia (and at many other online retailers): "usually ships in 5-15 days" or any duration longer than 24 hours really means they don't have it in stock at all. If the product is still available from wholesale distributors, that's the amount of time it should take to get more; if you know something is gone from all channels, don't depend on "5-15 days" availability remarks to get you anywhere.
Incidentally, Joltrabbit, the title is "ClaDun," not "CalDun" (because it's short for "CLAssic DUNgeon"). Also, welcome to this forum! Don't feed the animals. And use the new cover sheet for the TPS reports.

off topic, I'm sorry... but..
did you get the memo? mmmkay, I'm just gonna go ahead and send you another copy of that memo.Posted 8 months ago # -
Has anyone seen my stapler?
Posted 8 months ago # -
While Peace Walker does indeed have Monster Hunter sensibilities, Frontier Gate would be closer to being Konami's Monster Hunter variant. SCEJ has White Knight Chronicles: Origins, and even Takara Tomy's getting in on the action with Nano Diver. MH like games everywhere!
Posted 8 months ago # -
Yea, I'm so hooked on MHFU. White Knight Chronicles: Origins looks pretty cool. Never heard of it though. How old is it? Still trying to decide where to spend my account money, if at all.
Posted 8 months ago # -
WKC: Origins was released in January or February in Japan, and June in Europe. No US release has been announced.
