Yes, I'm getting this too. I'm in the UK - whereabouts are you located?
I've been unable to connect to the PSN from my PSPgo for the last 12 hours or so. I get an error after the sign-in attempt stating:
"The connection with Playstation Network timed out"

The UK PSN has been down a lot lately. I just wish Sony would do something with those damn ‘error codes’… I mean WTF do they mean? I don’t know! Nobody on the net knows! So who are they for? What are they for (other than to p*ss everybody off)?

Man I really hope is not those damn hackers again. They have this stupid rally against Sony because they wont allow them to hack their PS3 and run pirated game copies. Fucking little kids should use their potential on something that really matters, like a protest against a government for killing millions of innoccent people or something like that, not a freaking company that makes electronic products. Damn loosers....

They said they wouldn't target PSN again as they didn't want to affect the consumers, just Sony. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-04-18-anonymous-sony-centre-protest-flops At the bottom of the article

Just got home and checked, PSN store is working fine from my PSP. The problem has either been fixed or it's something caused by the latest firmware update.

Shazbots: I don't want to enter into another argument with you, but what Geohot released (and what there was all the furore about) did NOT allow piracy.

@SifJar
Yeah ok... please man, you know that hacking hardware leads to that. Look at the PSP, they know that by hacking a console people WILL pirate games like leeches. So what they are doing allows PIRACY.

Geohot did everything he could to prevent that, and the hackers who found the flaw Geohot used only began working on the PS3 because Sony took away a feature the PS3 was marketed with (I remember Sony bigging up the fact that the PS3 could install Linux as a big deal). All Sony's fault :P
And yes, hacking leads to piracy. That's not the hackers fault. You could also say that by making the console in the first place, Sony are taking the first step to piracy. Does that make Sony evil? No. They made the console, hackers opened it up, jerks used that openness to pirate. Each had their part to play in piracy. And then there's the developers. If they didn't make such good games, no one would pirate them :P The perfect anti-piracy system? Make a game so bad no one will want to pirate ;)

I'm in New Zealand. And not working :/

WOW for that statement man, developers work their asses off to make any kind of game and this people are not that appreciated as much as they should. How would you like it if you made a product and people steal it, making your profits decline how will you like that? This conversation is over.

... you two are arguing this same arguement... again.
Piracy is bad, everyone agrees, 'nuff said.I was just on PSN via PS3, NA. Is the problem PSP or region specific?

@Shazbots: Are you seriously that moronic? I was being sarcastic. Obviously it is not Sony or the developers fault that piracy happens. Nor is it the hackers.
I am simply pointing out that they are all in the "timeline" so to speak leading from the console being made to games being pirated on it. Some may feel the hackers are more so involved in forwarding the timeline towards piracy, but I disagree.
I COMPLETELY agree with what you are saying, that's why I am so anti-piracy.
EDIT: On topic, PSN is working fine for me in UK

Still down :(

"@Shazbots: Are you seriously that moronic?" Hahahaha, we always have good arguments man.Posted 1 year ago # -
I got on today after about half a dozen attempts.

I had mayyyybe a problem once staying logged in a few days ago. It only lasted a few minutes though, smooth sailing since then.
Posted 1 year ago # -
It was still down for me last time I checked (yesterday)... UK latest firmware.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Can connect through the PS3, can't connect through the PSP... What's going on??
Posted 1 year ago # -
I was having the same problem, but after multiple tries managed to break through. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Managed to get on and download Chains of Olympus and Mad Block Alpha but now it won't let me top up my wallet or buy Edge. Re-downloading Ass4$2 at the moment so it must just be the money side of things (and the logging on) which is stuffed at the moment...
