Normal difficulty, 3 lives per credit, from game start (and, naturally, no use of save states): 157,700. I lasted until about halfway through Stage 3. In continuing repeatedly to reach the end of the game, my next-highest score was something like 41,000.
Why is Stage 2 so short?
Played two rounds of this tonight. New high score: 242,300. Lost my last life fighting the latter of the Stage 3 bosses (thought I\'d killed him, but I\'d forgotten that the fight has more than one part . . . ).
Incidentally, while using my PS3 to confirm which boss it was at which I died, I realized that the game plays much more slowly on my PSP. That should no doubt be factored into the score; I\'m sure I\'d do a lot worse were I recording my scores on the PS3.

i suck at this kind of game, good thing for infinite credits, its like a mini arcade where you pay a set price and play till the end. i only played it for a bit to see how it works and its not too bad at all, highest score was close to 50k before i went up in flames...
Best I could muster playing the game at full speed (i.e., on my PS3 rather than the PSP): 123,400, losing all my lives at the beginning of Stage 3, because the Stage 2 boss fight destroyed my plane\'s P-gun, which was dishing out serious damage up until then. Prior to that, I kept dying during Stage 1.
Say . . . is it just my PSP-2000, or does anyone else find the game strangely slow on their PSP?
