I think there is going to be a LOOOOOT of iOS ports. We'll be seeing a lot of apps.
Do you know the Playstation Suite is that gonna mean that android games like Angry Birds will be able to be downloaded and played on the PS Vita. If so F*#K YEAH !
Or will minis like Angry Birds be upgraded to be able to use the touch screen ?
I doubt minis will be upgraded, but PSP games are supposed to be upgraded to use the new features so you never know. I've already preordered one, but I wonder what will happen to the minis program. Will it be dropped, will it be called something else, will the PSP stop getting new minis since most companies will just do app ports or will nothing change? I also hope it has more space than the Go (at least 30GB) as I plan on buying my games digitally and they'll probably be huge because of the graphics, plus I wanna put my favorite minis, PS1 and PSP games on it.
it doesn't have internal memory :(. But the cartidges store save data and DLC so you dont need a memory card unless you wanna download your games.
and there making a new memory card for it *sigh*
Where did you hear it doesn't have internal memory? Not having it would be hugely stupid. All PSP games from PSN, minis, Suite content, and downloadable games for Vita itself, will take up way to much memory to expect people to fork over money for high capacity memory cards.
I hate to say it, but if it doesn't have internal memory, I may think twice about getting one anytime soon.
Sony released a FAQ about the Vita
Here's a link
http://www.qj.net/ps-vita/news/sony-releases-playstation-vita-faqs.html
The 13th question down, it says no internal memory
... I hope they stick with the memory sticks then. I was gonna go buy an 8 or a 16, but if the vita is gonna be a different medium I might hold off.

I am compelled to point out that the forum's front page does already have PSV topics, such as this one and even one specifically about Minis developers on the PSV developers list.
If Sony does go with a new memory card format, I hope they don't go stupid and price them at 2GB for $30 MSRP or something.
@ onmode-ky
yeah sorry for double forming :P
and they are going with a proprietary memory card it says it in the link
If I remember correctly, weren't 4GB Memory Sticks like 100 bucks when they were first released?!
@ Ofaliss
I'm not sure only had a 1 GB for my PSP-2000 and then i got the PSP go which has internal memory so I never really bought one that big
That's how they get you with the price.
Im gonna buy mine phsically
my 4gb memorystick cost my $35 on sale, and then I found an 8gb Sony memory stick for $45 -.-'
I wish they'd let us know what the new format will be. I'm expecting memory stick micro, though the unit is big enough they could stick with regular ones. Does sony use SD or anything in their cameras/phones?
I think it's going to be unique to the PSV, rather than any existing format. That's how they'll make some money, I guess. Like MS did on Xbox 360 accessories.
I got my 16gb (2x microSD) for 31NZ$ (25US$) the other day. Sweet deal.
@confuletlyf
Sony always seem to use the same type of cards in their equipment... ms pro, ms duo, ms pro duo and m2 ect.
Almost all digital cameras use an SD card... exept the ones made by Sony, and a few other exceptions.
mweh
don't really care about the memory card, I'd probably get the biggest available at launch and it should last me the Vita's lifetime ... what I did find annoying was the fact that with PSP they changed the format midlife with the PSP GO, hope they don't pull that prank again this round!
either way, I want Zombie Tycoon 2 on my PSP2
no mini, a full sized title (I'd buy the mini though) with all the marbles ... and not like that webbased version where I couldn't fit out my zombies with all kinds of crazy
no, I want fishbowl helmeted zombies, armed fishing rods, wearing tennis rackets on their feet ... and much, much more of that combined with all the new touch controls (couldn't care less for that in Uncharted)
you hear that Frima guys?
I aint playing around here
I'd buy the webbased version btw
but that's not what I want to do, don't mess with me here
and give it another name like zombies command and conquer, something that doesn't have Tycoon in there
I bet the 32GB costs at least £70 when its released.
I haven't even gotten to play the web based one yet, my computer's too weak /.\'
I'm thinking of going the same way Chapnis, I can get an 8gb micro 40ish I think, and if that doesn't last I can still get a 8 or 16 to expand it. Though, as I said, I don't want to get a micro and then find out they change formats.
I was thinking the same thing thumb, since all the cameras and phones are ms or msmicro, the micro stick should be a safe bet.
Remember you need an adapter for using a mircoSD too.
The one I was looking at comes with a single slot micro-to-stick adapter. I can look for the dual slot at a later time if I need more room.
Yeah, I bought mine in a bundle (2* 8gb and a dual slot adapter) off TradeMe (our eBay equivalent)
Just for interest, there is some more info on getting dual-slot adaptors to work in another thread.
