Maybe, maybe not. http://www.nowgamer.com/news/4488/sony-psp-phone-is-fake
Yay for teh internetz!
Did think it looked a bit erm crap!
Yeah, was about to say it was a fake! :(
Didn't make a lot of sense with the PSP2 looking as though it's round the corner, TBH.
I don't trust that rumor. it was meant to be on the back of the unit...
It's probably real. NowGamer changed their tune to read the normal Sony response to rumors and speculation.

Looks nice, whatever it turns out to be.
it was meant to be on the back of the unit
pspgamer, I think you're confusing this with the PSP2. The earlier rumors about the PSPhone did indeed claim that it was going to have a touch bar playing the role of dual thumbsticks. The PSP2, on the other hand, is the one that supposedly has a touchpad on the back.
I'm not sure the "proof" that it's a fake holds water. The claim is that it must be fake because there's grime in it, and it has references in the user interface to 'A' and 'B' instead of 'X' and 'O.' Well, it can be dirty because it's been in heavy testing, and that interface may either be a) an incomplete port from another phone's interface or b) referring to the touchscreen, not the face buttons (i.e., "press here where this 'A' is" rather than "press the button called 'A'"). Sure, it can still be a fake, but I just don't think those make convincing evidence.
That would be nice if they put an analog sick on too.
errr onmode there is only gonna be a psp2 and that will be the psphone.
The rumours have suggested that this is separate to the PSP2.
pspgamer, as Jon notes, there are separate rumors for devices called "PSP2" and "PSPhone." If you've seen something indicating they are one and the same, please let us know where to look!
I think Sony plans to reveal 2 separate devices. The first one, the PSP2 will be for core gamers, who need to feel buttons and analog sticks. The second device would be PSPhone, which will be similar in power to the current psp, and will play the entire catalog of PSP games, PS1 games, and android games. That would be more then enough for casual phone gamers. Expect the PSP2 to be a very powerful device, and expensive one too. But don't complain about the price if you want a 10 years life cycle.
that's my guess as well but nobody believes me :D
the phone to compete with Iphone and PSP2 to compete with 3DS
dunno about latter but if the phone's hardware is on par with Iphone4 then the buttons and playstation brand name (and the Library on PSN) it might be a real contender :D
might be good times ahead for us Mini's lovers (and the mini's developers) because Sony does need to get a good lineup of cheap titles exclusive to the device to lure customers away from that demon Apple
I'd probably get one to bridge the gap between 3DS and PSP2 :D
I'm not sure that the rumored PS Phone's CPU is fast enough to emulate the PSP (because the hardware architectures are different, it would have to use an emulation layer). I think that if it does run any PSP games, it would be limited to Minis, since Gamevil noted that Minis don't run the PSP CPU at max speed. So, I'm thinking that if the PS Phone does play existing PS games, they would be only PS1 and Minis titles. Would be great to be wrong, though.
