Well, maybe someone will make a really nice clone of Monster Hunter in Playstation Suite?
Or a virtual girlfriend game (heck, how hard can those be to program?)

They didn't waste anytime with a useless revision, did they?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Old folks can't see.
Screw that, I already have a lighter 3DS. Don't know why they are making it bigger when smaller and lighter is better.
I'm not wasting my money on a bigger 3DS with no second stick.
It's like saying ''hey, I would like to carry 20 bricks instead of 20 feathers''. Why would you pay for something that is the same, but bigger.
Just wait until you hit middle age, you'll start to see the appeal of this.
This is how I sees it from a hardware design standpoint.
Vita = The hot chick.
3DS = The cute friend of the hot chick. She's not as desirable physically as her hot friend, but her charm is undeniable.
3DS XL = The fat friend. And I'm not saying big girls can't be hot. Some of the hottest chicks I've ever seen have been "plus size", but she ain't one of 'em. She has a nasty attitude and does everything in her power to convince her hot and cute friends that every man is a trifling man.
I will say that the Select, Home, and Start buttons are better in principle than the 3DS'. The ones on the 3DS are poorly done and just look cheap compared to the rest of the system. But that's just my opinion.
Hope people who are "upgrading" are ready to buy a Circle Pad Pro XL if they want a second stick.
PS: I've never spelled the word "trifling" before this post. I don't know why, but I feel as though my life is a little bit better because of it.
Ha ha! Good list. I only have a 3DS. I might get a Vita. That way I can be with both of the girls.
The 3DS XL's top screen will be nearly as big as the PSV's . . . but the 400 x 240 resolution will mean it won't look anywhere near as good as the PSV's 960 x 544. Then again, the DSi XL's screens are even bigger than the 3DS XL's bottom screen, and they have even lower resolution, yet consumers didn't seem to mind. I guess blocky graphics just give it some retro charm?
I think Ofaliss got it spot on. ;-)
It made me laugh once I got to the 3DSXL.
I always hated that fat chick that would **** block you at the club. Why do the hot chicks even have friends like that? I would always keep some beef jerky in my pocket to toss on the dance floor and distract the fat chick. Then I would make my move.
I'm not the type to miss a chance to say I told you so. So...
Also, is it me or did Satoru Iwata call Nintendo fans stupid!?
This whole dual sticks thing reminds me of how some people said the PSP "failed" because it didn't have two sticks. I'll admit that if a twin pad 3DS was to be announced that I would sell my current one and get it, but just like the PSP, it doesn't need a second pad. It's just to have the option.
But the thing that is more confusing than a new model would ever be, is the fact that Nintendo released the Circle Pad Pro and Pro XL at all. Why even make the add on if you didn't think the system needed it!? Just to appease Capcom? No, that's not it. They didn't make Sony create a second stick for the PSP Monster Hunters. So Nintendo didn't need one either.
Nintendo, Nintendo... You know you have your loyalist fans by the balls and you love every second of it. I'm really starting to like you guys again, just because of your epic arrogance. You guys are the Lex Luthor of the video game industry!
I dunno. I think they did make it for Capcom. It gave Capcom cover to fans saying "Hey, why don't you make Monster Hunter for the Vita? We're tired of having to use the claw method." and Capcom can say "See, the 3DS has a second analog too if it bothers you so much"
