PSP Minis

   so i have had a psp since it was first released and never bothered with minis, now i got some extra cash hanging in my psn wallet ($8.10) and was just wondering what are some good types of minis?

   i like rpg's and fighting games, but i think it wont be good to get a fighting game since minis dont have 2-players right?

   anyway mainly list rpg's or games like Scott pilgrim.

   PS. does this site have a genre list? i was trying to look up games but its only listed by name, devs, score, and review.

   Hmm, well, in the way of RPGs, the only one coming to mind is the recently released Zenonia. However, its price would wipe out almost all of your wallet remnants, and the patch for its lag issues has not been released yet (but has reportedly been submitted for approval). Games like Scott Pilgrim . . . I can't think of any "classical" beat'em-ups, but Young Thor and Tehra seem to be well-liked action games, particularly the former.

   As long as you're spending only a little cash, incidentally, I'd encourage you to try some game types outside of what you'd normally consider. With most Minis being from indie developers, you get a fair amount of unusual, but fun, game ideas.

   A by-genre list would be a good idea to add to the "Improvements for PSPMinis.com" thread.

   I think fly fu is very much in the style of classic beat em ups,
   its almost parodying them, (them and kung fu movies, that is, if the two are mutually exclusive) although you cant move vertically.
   Although I'm not quite as enthusiastic of it as Jasper was (and I dont think it has any ragdoll physics as he mentions in the review), it is a pretty cool game, as long as your not an insectophobe.

   But I agree with Onmode-ky, do try to broaden your gaming horizons when you can,
   theres tons of pretty good games out there, that can be great, even if you aren't a die hard fan of its genre.

   Though they're not really RPG , these games are quite fun:

   - Age of Zombies
   - Alien Zombie Death
   - History Egypt: Engineering an Empire
   - Coconut Dodge
   - Archibalds Adventures

   For $2.99 I love Aero Racer. Its a good challenge, and it would give you a taste of a new genre.

   I completely agree with the sentiments above about trying different genres. One of the key advantages of the Minis platform is that you can try games that you wouldn't ordinarily invest in.

   For instance, if you typically don't like racing games then you probably wouldn't pay for Motorstorm Arctic Edge. However, you might take a chance with Heracles Chariot Racing or Rocket Racing/Aero Racer.

   Try something different every now and then - you never know, you might have a nice surprise! ;-)

    I agree with the above

    I have no credit card so I'm stuck with 20 or 50 euro prepaid psn cards so I tend to get 2 of te first or 1 of the latter when something I want is about to released and the leftover money is spend on cheap stuff and 9 out of 10 times that means randomly buying some mini's

    for instance, I got God of War: Ghost of Sparta and with the leftover money I got Zombie Tycoon (awesome!), Valkyria Chronicles 2 DLC (more missions = awesome!) and Fly Fu (don't care for it) and I think that's 40 euro's well spend :D

    and Aero Racer to anyone.
