Have found it necessary to re-load Media Go. Long story. Down loads fine, but then when it unpacks it gets hung up on "redistributable c++2005" and will not proceed any further. I have tried to remove it from my programs and it will not wanting a certain path or disc. Can anyone help with this in simple terms for a geek, but non computer geek?
Need "serious" help!!

I think your system might be too old for MediaGo. I remember getting that thing hanging up on the install when I was trying it out on an older system.
My advice is to try to install that portion of the program itself. Like find "redistributable c++2005".

I wish I knew how to help you. I had a problem with Media Go myself - I solved it by getting a new computer.
That said, it might not be hung up, but simply downloading that file. Kind of like DX9, a lot of programs seem to use that C++ thing from 2005, which apparently still gets updates.
For instance, Lord of the Rings Online (which I play sometimes) got a new XP a couple days ago, and it needed a new version of that C++ thing (and the first thing it downloaded).

Can you post more details about what's going wrong? As in specific error text, and whatever else gets printed before it hits the error.
