Minisquadron Question

I see a number on the menu. It's pasted on the "My Squadron" header. It's a white number in a red circle. What is this number? It currently says "3". I found a image of it online, which this one says "6". With no manual to look in, I am baffled as to what this is.

That's how many planes you've opened up that you haven't looked at yet.

Speaking of that, does anyone know how planes get unlocked?

Yeah, just click on the picture of a plane you want to unlock (in the My Squadron section) and it tells you what you need to do at the top right (I think).

Oooh, you're right. Very cool, and thanks.

I was wondering because I originally played the game on the review account here, then decided to buy it myself on my personal account. And I unlocked planes in different orders, which confused me.

Okay, another question - how does the score multiplier work?

High scoring seems to be the key to unlocking planes. And for that you need the multiplier going up and up and up. But what breaks it?

Getting hit by an enemy cancels the score multiplier.
