PlayStation Mobile is the Android based SDK Sony is running on various phones, tablets, and Vita. They recently released a developer's support list and a few Minis studios were in the mix:

Yeah PomPom and Honeyslug, I loved Kahoots and Alien Zombie Death and Jelly Pops. I thought they would not be here. Yeah Icon, they are giving us Marble Boy. I wonder what Futurlab is cooking up...
I was really hoping that Halfbrick would be on the list, but nope, they leave us...
I wonder if they will be developing with the Vita in mind, or phones. I know that PS Mobile is designed for Sony to take a share of the game on phones/tablet market, but if PS Mobile does still end up on the Vita, I hope someone makes some games with buttons in mind.
I know it won't be the norm, I see enough Xperia Play owners begging for support to know that, but hopefully the mini developers remember us button mashers from time to time.

None of it is really appealing to me. Sorry Futurab, I still love you guys.
I hope we see some bigger developers/publishers jump on PS Mobile. Rockstar releasing Max Payne Mobile and GTA III would be sexy. Maybe Epic Games could stop being d*cks and release the Infinity Blade games for the platform.
I would guess they would find it a less time consuming option to release games on an Android platform that is universal. If your device can install PS Mobile, it'll run the games. Much easier than worrying about a bazillion devices.

This isn't mentioned in the article, and I'm surprised James didn't say anything (shames for James!), but FuturLab is working on 2 other PSM games aside from Slidin' Beats. Man, 3 games from FuturLab, that sure beats slidin'. . . .

But really, I guess they might worry about getting sued by his estate. I'm sure 100 years from now we'll see lots of Elvis based game. And hopefully, Ronnie James Dio ones as well.

It is a little weird. Especially reading what James had to say. He was here carrying on with us for a good chunk of time as though he was just one of us regular folks.
It's good to here that PS Mobile is a really attractive route for indie developers to take. I'm really looking forward to seeing what former Mini developers will do with that 1GB.

And now you know how it felt to review a Mini based on a movie that I was in.
Although probably the weirdest game related thing was reading a strategy guide on a game where I had designed a scenario, and some guy devoting 3-4 pages analyzing it.
He spent more time than I did. I would test it just by having the computer play itself.

There is just so much negativity surrounding the game industry now. Articles are all about, "It could work, but I doubt it", now. It has made me a lot less willing to be critical lately because I don't want to add to the negativity, so I guess some good has come of it.

I don't think Mobile will help sell Vitas, though it will give people who own Vitas something to play.
I think a big problem is that no one knows about the Vita. There has been no advertising. In stores, if they carry them at all, they're hidden away, while other video game systems, even the Atari Flashback 3 console, are on display in traffic lanes.
