scroll down on this page and you'll will see that a lot of minis are rated to be released 31st december. I hope they are right.

Those are usually placeholder dates. Especially the September 29-31, and December 29-31 as both are on periods of Wednesday-Friday, when video games aren't released. Decemeber 31/January 1 is usually the generic placeholder, the ones that are at the end of other months are usually the end of the timeframe a publisher would give, like say "Q3 2010" would end in August, so you put August 31.
