   They would have taken all of Nintendo's steam away if they had just announced a long term plan to have future games take advantage of the Vita as a controller. Hardcore Nintendo fans love to claim Nintendo is so revolutionary, but they are a generation behind with their Wii U idea.

   Sony announced a LBP2 DLC that would allow the Vita to be used as a controller. Touchscreen, touch panel, gyroscope, all of the Vita's features will be usable. This is something that smart people picked up on some time ago, but if all future must have titles took advantage of this, why even buy a Wii U? If Sony had announced a PS3/Vita bundle and confirmed that developers would make compatibility between the two the norm, then Nintendo would have been in the middle of the ocean with not much to make it to shore.

   Me personally, I was let down by what Sony showed at their conference. I'm also a little surprised that they either don't see the opportunity they have in front of them, or that they are just too stupid to know it's there.

   BTW, this isn't a dig at Nintendo. I'm just stating my opinion.

   I would have to disagree.

   I admit, I've never actually even seen a Vita, much less a Wii-U controller. But I believe the screen size of the Wii U is much larger, which means it's going to be a much more useful, especially for older gamers.

   I've always thought that Sony should have integrated the Vita into its other lines - having the Vita as is, but also a Vita-Tablet, a Vita Phone, a Vita mini-tablet (like the Kindle Fire/B&N Nook)

   And then those could work like the Wii-U did, which would provide a lot more options. (Actually this seems to be what MS is doing with Smartglass)

   The screen on the Wii U controller is 6.2 inches. When it comes to screens, inches tend to go a long way, but the Vita's 5 inch screen is pretty freaking big. But I don't see old gamers with bad eyes buying Wii U's. I could be wrong though.

   Jeremy, when i first held the PSV from a Bestbuy i know that i needed one... sure the sticks feel weird and the buttons aren't as good compared to 3000, but this little sucker is one awesome machine.
