   The post creation tool says that we can use Gravatars but although I do have a gravatar attached to my email address, it doesn't show up. You may have deliberately disabled them, I don't know, but if you have then maybe you want to take out that little hint. Alternatively maybe they're supposed to be working, in which case there's a bug. :P

   After I read this, I tried it out too.
   Can't seem to work, but I guess the key master is still working on it.

   But is Gravatars for avatars? or to post pictures?

   Lol that's what I thought, but a website for dedicating avatars if you can just upload a picture on Photobucket/imageshack/etc. :|?

   It is actually a good idea, because it's more than just a photo sharing site. You can rate the avatar by content, so for example if I wanted to upload a photo of some tits as my avatar because I'm a member of a porn site I could do that, but that image would not be displayed to anyone who has said they only want to view safe images.

   Another thing is that the avatar is linked to your email address and so you can register as many avatars as you like to as many email addresses as you like (I own two companies, I freelance and I have my own personal life - each has a different address) and each one can have a different image. You can change that image at any point and it will be updated on every forum where you posted with that email address.

   The only down-side really is that not many networks support it, though I think their list of supported networks is growing slowly. Having support built into Wordpress is a Good Thing(TM).

   How do you mean private? The whole point of an avatar is that it's displayed alongside your username on a forum - which generally means it's public.

   'Oh', I thought it was like photobucket/imageshack/etc.

   And I know what an avatar is.. I've probably made 200+ in my whole gfx making hobby already. :|

   I meant I thought it was an avatar gallery where people can just grab your avatar and be free to use it. That's what I was trying to say.
