Every once in a while something comes along so epic that even when if fades away it never leaves our thoughts. Sometimes it's so epic that it has to make a comeback. Guile's Theme is that very thing. Back by popular demand, Guile's Theme videos. Something needs to pick up the fun level around here.
Notice how epic the video goes from yawn to aw snap.
But the beauty of Guile's Theme truly shines when you pair it with someone like Jackie Chan. Jackie is the only human alive whose epicness rivals that of Guile's Theme. Chuck Norris ain't got sh*t on Jackie Chan.

My fun level went up today as Canada just won our first Gold medal this Olympics. :D

Soccer players get a gold medal for most obvious flop. That could work. Lord knows they do it better than any one else, in any other sport.

Michael Phelps sure steamrolled a ton of records. He has as many Olympic golds now as the total number of medals of any color won by the Olympian with the next-highest individual medal count. He also has exactly twice the number of each color medal as Mark Spitz. Too much fun level for one man? :)

Now I'm not sure if you can view this link, or not. But if you can't, I'll give a little summary. My fun level dropped a bit yesterday during the Canada vs USA soccer match (football) when what should have been a brilliant game was screwed up by some bad reffing. The game was 3-2 for Canada with twenty minutes left. When the Canadian goalie picked up the ball and took longer than 6 seconds to throw it out. Which apparently results in a free kick. But this call never gets called and the ref is supposed to give them a warning, no warning was given. Here's a quote from the article linked above:
No warning was given, according to McLeod (Goalie). That’s the form — warning first. You want another theme? This has been the Army Olympics, the Empty Olympics and the Angry Olympics. Now it’s the Making Things Up As You Go The Hell Along Olympics.
Regardless of the warning, how often is that call made?
“I’ve never seen that before,” U.S. coach Pia Sundhage said afterward. Sundhage has worked in the game since they used mammoth tusks for goalposts.
She’s never seen it because that call is never made. Never.
And in a one-goal game in which a gold medal hangs in the balance, it should be made never to the power of infinity.
Which then resulted to this a few moments later:
On the ensuing free kick inside the Canadian area, the ball cannoned into the protective arm of Marie-Eve Nault (CAN). That’s probably a penalty. That’s how Pedersen called it. The problem was that Pedersen and her crew had ignored an even more blatant handball in the area by American Megan Rapinoe 10 minutes before.
Both these rather dubious calls practically handed the Americans a goal on a silver platter. *Quick video by the way.
If it wasn't for this the game would have ended 3-2 for Canada. But instead, if went into extended overtime part 2. In which, during extended injury time, USA got a nice goal with half a minute left. It's still a superb game for the Canadians who tried their hardest as the vastly outmatched underdogs. *End Rant*

Talk about bad reffing, none of the refs saw the Canadian player who stepped seemingly intentionally on the head of an American player on the ground. It goes both ways, I guess.
