Haven't posted a novel lately...
Paul Allen's team must've decided not to stick around Midway to keep looking (Or they found the other two carriers and other wrecks and just haven't announced it yet), since they found the wreck of the USS Johnston a few days ago.
She was sunk in the famous "Battle off Samar" while the main elements of the American fleet were off chasing decoys. A small fleet consisting of tiny American ships, which was codenamed "Taffy 3", were all that was between this Japanese fleet and the beaches at Leyte Gulf where American soldiers were landing to retake the Philippines.
They managed to do their job so well that the large Japanese task force, including the huge Japanese battleship Yamato, turned back with their tail between their legs and ran. Five American ships, including the Johnston, went to the bottom that day.

She started out in that battle by laying smoke to conceal six small American escort carriers (Nicknamed by American sailors back then as "jeep" carriers or "baby flattops" for their diminutive size). Then without orders, her commander broke formation and headed the ship directly towards the enemy.
She first scored several hits with her 5" guns on a heavy cruiser when she got within gun range. Then when she got closer, she launched her 10 torpedoes with one blowing the bow off the cruiser, forcing her to limp away (Later sank by carrier planes). Then the Johnston took multiple hits from the battleship Kongo's main battery, causing the Johnston to lose steering and power to her aft 5" guns, as well as knocking out one of her two steam turbines that propelled the ship.
She managed to duck into a rain squall to effect repairs, and then came back and charged the enemy. At this point they were steering the ship from the emergency steering station at the stern and charged the Kongo at close range, getting a lot of hits on her. Noticing an American carrer under fire from a cruiser, she then shifted to that target to draw its attention away from the carrier.
Then her second of two steam turbines got knocked out, leaving her dead in the water. Her crew continued to fight with her remaining guns as multiple Japanese ships focused on her, until she started to slip below the ocean.
She's also the deepest shipwreck ever located. I think I read 20,500' the other day for her depth (So almost 4 miles deep). She's not intact though, just lots of pieces. Must've exploded on the long trip down to the ocean bottom.
