I tried it out and IMO it's a cheap rip off of pacman! If there are here more than 5 people who ask a video of it, I will make one but under 5 not.
Don't buy lock 'n' chase!

Well, yeah. But there being a serious lack of Pac-man on the PSP, it might be worth buying if you are into that sort of thing.

The original arcade game came out in 1981, so YouTube already has game footage for it. Not much point in making a video of the Minis version, unless it's radically different from the original.
The original Pac-Man is in the PSP's Namco Museum Battle Collection, isn't it?

@pspgamer
About a minute of research online showed me that it is indeed very similar to PacMan. Maybe you should've done the same before purchasing.

um, yeah, pacman clones have been around ever since theres been pacman lol.
I wouldent say it's a complete ripoff of pacman, the goal isnt to rip pacman off, but to build on and expand the concept, and it did do a little bit to expand on that.
the question is, is it a good game 30 years later, it doesnt seem like it imo, not when you consider what else there is.

I actually dont think he purchased it.... but he certainly should have realized it was an answer to pacman, not so much a ripoff.Posted 1 year ago # -
I didn't think he purchased it either, just like Age of Zombies, but well didn't want to bring up his practices.

Your right, I didn't purchase the game cuz I am not a no-lifer. No offence if you buy it though. The game costs 5 or 4 EUR. if you have that money double, you better buy namco museum (for 10 EUR)!!!

Pac-man is in Namco Museum (along with a pretty nice remix), but that's not on PSN (at least in NA).

pspgamer01: This is rediculous!! Lock'n'chase is a great arcade game and for you to tell people not to buy it because it is like another great arcade game is just stupid!!
If you illegally download copies of the game and tell people not to buy it, the games will not sell well. If the games do not sell well, less developers will support PSP. In that scenario it is a lose-lose for everyone involved.
I bought a copy of lock'n'chase for Minis and I am really having fun with it!!!
Make up your mind for yourself and if you like classic arcade games (and/or Pacman), I recommend giving it a try. For $3.99, you cannot go too wrong!!!

@pspgamer01 - a market research question if you don't mind: what percentage of your games do you pay for, and what percentage do you obtain illegally?

@futurlab
currently I only download games illegally to try them out or to make a video about it and barely play it. I already have 23 games on my legal psp memory stick and about 26 UMD's so I find I can download a game illegally sometimes. I gave already more than 1000 EUR on the psp! this is my channel of youtube where you can find my legal game collection ;)BTW: I am thinking of buying your game but I am not sure. Is it frustrating and how is the movement? I is very smooth?

Hi, I asked the question out of interest because miniS are generally about the same price as a meal at McDonald's, so I'm interested what drives people to download miniS illegally.
If you're not playing them, and just making videos of them for the benefit of potential buyers - why not write to the developers of the games themselves, and ask for download vouchers?
All developers are given a limited number of download vouchers which they can give to reviewers so they can download the game for free, so you could try that instead. Then you would be providing a valuable service to developers, rather than adding to the problem of pirating.
If you're thinking of getting Coconut Dodge to play for your own enjoyment, I refer you to our press page which has links to all the reviews of the game so far: http://www.coconutdodge.co.uk/press.php?page=press
Thanks,
James

I only play minis on my legal psp 3000 and I already own like 13 Minis. I don't play minis psp 2000 only for making a vid. I wan't to make vids of some minis to show the people what the game looks like.
