I made a comment earlier and then felt like a turd for it. There are developers here who talk to us almost everyday and I want to thank them. Paddy at Open Emotion, Al at Laughing Jackal, MickD at Frima, and anyone I may have missed, we thank you for taking time to respond to us in here. For the people I missed, I'm sure my buddies in here can give a shout out. Thanks again for the games!

Hey ChaosRandom,
Thanks for the shout out. Made me smile before bed. (it's 1:30am here!)
Thanks dude - and to the other contributors. :)

I'd like to send a shout out to Yan. The man has the unique ability to make me want to buy titles from Sanuk, that I'm still not too sure I really wanted! :D

Thanks so much ChaosRandom - It means alot to me to know that it matters when we engage with you on here :D
Rock N' Roll dude!

Thanks Ofaliss!
It's not really my plan to lure people into buying games that they don't really want (as the saying goes, you can't fool people twice...) - but then I hope there are some games we released that you're happy with :-).

Luckily, I've enjoyed all of the ones I have Yan. Looking forward to getting Hysteria Project 2.

A big thanks to all the people at Open Emotion for their dedication in producing big minis, at small prices. To all the devs who get in touch with us on the forums, Paddy M, Yan, MickD, Al ect... much respect guys. ;)

Hey guys - personally I think the PSPMinis community here is great, and a pleasure to chat to.
Posted 9 months ago # -
I have to agree, so useful having the input, whether its the ability to get questions answered, being able to talk to someone easily and directly if theres a problem or just general stuff!
For any developer of minis, its wise to be here to promote but they all go well beyond that so thanks!

Its a great benefit to us developers as well guys to have somewhere where we can voice ideas, get input, have people tell us what they would like us to include in our upcoming titles. I love coming on here to chat and feel that we owe it to all the people we chat to on here to deliver a great experience for them... Its awesome to see all the devs that post here - Rich, Yan, Evanac, LJRoss and all the rest. It's cool to be involved in such a close knit community and it sure makes the whole thing a lot nicer to do :)
Mucho Love, to all of y'all,
Paddy M.

I'm enjoying player's reaction to the game I help create as much as I enjoy creating them ;)
I'm not working on PSP stuff right now but look forward to a PS3 Move title coming in the next month :)
Posted 9 months ago # -
next months* :P it's not ready yet ;)
Posted 9 months ago # -
MickD, if your title had to be out next month, would that be . . . too much pression? :D
Continuing the roll call. :) James from FuturLab, M from Frima, igotmy5fingersofdeath from LJ, Paul from Black Lab. It's really kind of mysterious how so many developers ended up joining this little community, and it is, of course, much appreciated.
Say . . . shouldn't James report to M? That's how it is in all those movies.

I really appreciate the developers putting so much effort in their projects.
BTW How do you learn developing playstation minis? Do you get a book with the developer kits?
Posted 9 months ago # -
Its all about finding a dark sith master and learning from him pspgamer01 :P
Messing with C++ in general is a good start though XD

Man there is some love in this thread. Hey, thanks PSPminis.com

It's great to hear a lot of developers branching out to do bigger projects, be it a full blown PS3 game, game OSTs or some stuff for Home... from little acorns, big things do grow. ;)

I'm curious to see what some of these guys could do with a deeper wallet and a full staff. How hard would it be to do games on the Xbox Live Arcade. Are those games at all like what you guys (Devs) are doing? Or more complex?

Keep your eyes peeled early next week for our big news ;) I think IGN are getting the exclusive on it (Our marketing company in the states brokered a deal with them I believe).
Posted 9 months ago # -
Marketing company in the States? Check you out! :D We don't even have a marketing company for Essex. We're trying to learn the hard way ourselves and Ross is doing a great job (that's for you Ross, if you're reading this).
Posted 9 months ago # -
We were doing it ourselves but we found a really reasonably priced company in the states and to be honest I wasn't sure I would be able to handle doing all the press stuff across the US and Canada, so it kind of worked out. I still obviously prefer doing stuff like contacting european sites and places like PSPMinis and stuff myself but yeah... Its handy :)

Hey. Thanks for this! :-)
pspminis.com and its community are a fantastic way to be in a direct contact. Hear your comments, complaints and praise ;-)Posted 9 months ago # -
It's fantastic to have such engagement between the devs and the community :-)

It's a great feeling to give suggestions to fix and/or improve a game in some small way, and to have them actually taken on board and acted upon by the developers of the game. It makes you feel involved with the game-making process in some very small way, though all you geat devs do all the hard work... and it doesn't go unnoticed. ;)

Wait a minute--are we talking about Bobby Kotick?
Posted 9 months ago # -
Yeah I noticed a lot of Open Emotion articles on IGN I don't know what it is but I get a sense of pride when I see Paddy Murphy. I just say to myself I know that guy :P

No seriously, my dream is to become a game developer.
Posted 9 months ago # -
Thanks guys. Was nice to get back into work and see this :) I agree with everyone else about what a great community it is here.
