I just wanted to share the cinematic trailer with you guys and have a thread available for anyone who wanted to discuss the game.
I'm REALLY looking forward to playing this. Enjoy the trailer guys, I know I did.

this game looks pretty good, I wounder if they will bring it out on the NGP, that would be awesome. On deus ex I will be stealth all the way. But I love it how you can go about missions in a lot of different ways.
Nice. But not too impressed you know...
I've never played any of the other games in the series, but something about this one really got my attention.
Wow - trailer looks awesome.
3:36 minute of this trailer - illuminati!
That trailer is sweet. I've never played these either. Multi platform right?
Yup.
I'm loving the sh*t outta this game!
I've been meaning to ask you. I read an article about the boss fights being a little flawed. Like it doesnt matter how you go about the mission, stealth or whatever, the boss fights are all guns blazing. It looks so amazing though. Can you enlighten me?
It's the shock of having to do the opposite of what you have been when you come across the first boss, that gets you.
I had set my augments around stealth and hacking, I'm going for the Pacifist achievement, you have to beat the game without killing anyone except bosses. By the time I got to the first boss, I had essentially only been hiding with a few taking downs here and there, and had no real combat experience in the game. So now I go from hiding like a b*tch, to pretty much being forced to play MW2.
I had no defense and very little offense, so I got my cybernetic ass handed to me multiple times. But I eventually adapted and combat became as intuitive as stealth. The beauty of it was that each time I died, I saw new ways to help make what I had been doing up until then, combine with what I was now forced into doing.
Once you get pass the, "wait, have I been playing this game wrong the whole time?", feeling that follows the first boss, you then start to see that your way works better when you add elements of this way or that way.
What every reviewer seems to have missed is that side quest give you a pretty good idea of the augments you'll need to show a little attention to moving forward. If I had been paying attention before the first boss, I would have figured that out sooner myself. If you find your self around more and more electricity, your going to need to augment yourself to cancel out electrical damage for more important encounters later on. The developers will give you guidance from time to time, but it's not essential that you have to stray away from what you have been doing.
Also, if you check out YouTube vids of that first boss, you don't even have to fire a single round to beat him. If you can think of it, it's probably a solution to your problem, and that's why I'm enjoying this game so much.
Dammit dude, why do I want every game you own? It sounds so kick ass.
It's because I own kickass games!
I value my money too much to waste it on crappy games. I won't buy anything if I'm not 100% sure it will provide me with the most bang for my buck. I'm not working 3rd shift and putting up with douchebags, to have my hard earned cash wasted on half-assed projects.
That and the fact my girlfriend chews me out when I buy a game and then complain about it sucking! "Blah, blah, blah... You could have put that money away for a rainy day... blah, blah... Stop wasting money... blah, blah... Do you even listen to me when I tell you stuff!?". You hear that sh*t enough times and it'll make you not even want to buy a pack of gum!
Zombie time! It's not as old as some of the other threads I've brought back, but hey, old is old, right!?
I'm still playing the crap out of this game! I have all the Achievements that were available before the update and DLC released unlocked. As soon as I get the time, I'll be downloading the DLC and grabbing those new Achievements too.
You guys should really add this bad boy to your Christmas lists!
Its so weird you necromanced this thread cause I was just thinking about you and this game the other day. No joke. I want it, but dont know if I'll get it. Right now I want Gears 3, the new Batman, and Deus Ex. Doubt I'll have time for any though. Thanks to the lord for toilets and PSPs. Am I right?
Amen to that brutha!
I heard that Batman got a perfect score in the latest issue of Game Informer. I REALLY wish I had the extra funds to spend on it, but sadly I'll probably have to wait until after Christmas to pick it up.
Walmart has a great deal, you get Arkham City and Asylum Game of the Year Edition for the same price.
Ofaliss, do you have a link to the storyline trailer? It's done up as a documentary-ish film on the start of the revolution. A friend showed me it a while ago and now neither of us can find it. It made me want the game without even knowing what kind of a game it was.
Hahahaha! I have unlocked every achievement for this game! My only full game that I have unlocked all achievements for and my second game overall. Trenched being my 1st.
I usually don't care about achievements, but I enjoy this game so much, I went ahead and got them all.
Lol, Trenched is also my first. To bad thats the only one I have though. I'm so close on a bunch of games. Just never get around to it I guess. I passed Dues Ex at Target last night. I cant buy it now though. It looks so badass. Maybe one day.
I'm hankering for some Deus Ex. I think I may play it today. The Missing Link DLC is 50% off on Live, not sure if it's on sale on PSN.
