Hi, although I am a new member, I've been around here and (kind of) know my way around this site. One genre of game that I enjoy is runner. Yeah I know that with One Epic Game coming out, there will be two already. But I feel like it's the perfect genre for minis. I'll probably get I Must Run, but I feel like I want more. I could even help with game design (with my friend), character design, and gameplay mechanics.
Dear, developers...

I agree. I would love to see a port of Halfbrick's Monster Dash from the iPhone. They have a few other games in the PS Store as Minis (Age of Zombies, Echoes, Aero Racer), so I'd love for them to add that one.

Yeh, but the point is Halfbrick ditched minis in favour of apple and the quest for more money. :(

suppose it's too expensive to develop for PSP
much as I love the Halfbrick guys I do believe that at this point it's smarter business to go Iphone ... I hope Playstation Suite will fix this on NGP
Sony really needs to fix this, call it PSP life support and market a significantly cheaper Devkit that comes with Phire engine (or Vicious engine!) and developers that want to do more then tiny wings/angry birds will show up (more guys like Frima) I think
then you'd have PSP for the budget gamer and NGP for the guys with the gold hummersplaystation everywhere you see = win for sony
but that'll probably never happen as Sony appears to have given up on PSP after last years E3 and even that sucked a little for us handheldguys

Let's not forget that Playstation Suite is also extremely important as Sony's play (pardon the pun) for the casual/smartphone gaming market. It brings the Playstation brand (and part of the games library) to the massive smartphone crowd.
Playstation Suite on Android serves two key functions. Firstly, it gives Sony a presence in the smartphone market on the most popular smartphone platform (Android), extended to all Android devices of the required spec. Secondly, it hooks the casual smartphone gamers and provides an upsell route to the dedicated Sony handheld devices (PSP & NGP), especially as the PSSuite games will work on the NGP without modification.
If I was a developer wanting to create gaming content for the portable Sony platforms right now, I'd be looking seriously at the PSSuite.

that's what I'm hoping for at this point but that's still at least half a year away and the damned thing is as big as my refrigerator
it'll be like going back to the old days where I carried my PSP only on longer journeys while playing snake and the like on my cellphone as opposed to right now where I carry my PSP GO with me 24/7
makes sense to focuss on original minis for PSP untill we get a smaller NGP
for me at least

must add that I'm anxiously waiting for my contract to run out so I can get Xperia Play though

lol, me too dude! ;-)
I'm very used to the portability advantages of my PSPgo (it's the same size as my smartphone). The large size of the NGP is a bit off-putting to me.
It would be cool if Minis were supported on PSSuite Android devices, as well as PSP & NGP. Anyone know what the latest info is in that regard?

I actually like runner games that have a lot of free running, or parkouor, in them. These are games like Jailbreaker 2. Only two main controls, then you have the adition of other parkour moves light jumping from one pillar to another then onto the ground or runnning briefly on walls.
I am actually thinking of helping design a game like the one I want with my friend so that game developers can kinda see what I'm going for. We have actually designed and made a game already. It worked, but we never got to publish it due to viruses. But hey, what can you do? Anyway, that's really all I want. A cool (probably runner) type game.
But runners get dull, so maybe more types of gameplay. I dunno. Any game developers out there interested?

Some of the developers that I admire are Halfbrick, Mediatonic, and Open Emotion. They have set the bar for the quality of Minis. I would like to see what they could do with some ideas from the crowd.

how do you leave frima out of the top mini devs??
Posted 11 months ago # -
Meh. The only one that ever grabbed me was Young Thor and even that didn't grab me enough for me to buy it.

Frima's games are excellent :D
you really should try them

Now is the time for some good games now, devs. Maybe runner?
