Cubixx's big PS3 brother now has a trailer!!!

Hey guys,

At very long last, Cubixx HD (PS3 via PSN) has a cool trailer that's up on our blog and Youtube page and shows off the final game quality (we'll be submitting the game to Sony QA VERY soon!).

Is THAT what women do that for? I always thought it was a futile attempt to dry tears.

I am amused to no end that there is a mode called "Cling On" in a game which generally looks remarkably like an attack on a Borg cube. ;)

Nice work, guys. The game does look extremely slick. This will be the first case of a Minis-birthed game going big-time, won't it? I hope others can follow. Speaking of which, wasn't "Cubixx HD" supposed to be a temporary title? I was rather looking forward to "Cubixx II: The Wrath of Khan." Or at least "Cubixx Squaredd: The Search for Spark." Maybe that will be the super widescreen, sit-down cockpit, arcade cabinet iteration.

P.S. I particularly like the opening of that trailer, when the little scamps slice their way out from confinement. Oh, and FEARS THE PUDDING. What was the longest German word you had to deal with?

I think one suggestion for Homer enemies was like 30 characters and probably translates as "machine which moves towards things and sticks to them".

We canned that one! ;)

Is the mini Cubixx only playable on PSP ?

Hey CRyan1997,

The original Cubixx plays on both PSP and PS3 and if I'm not mistaken is currently available for £0.99 / $1.49

However comparing Cubixx to Cubixx HD is like comparing a Model T Ford to a Pagani Zonda: it's based on entirely the same principles but I know which I'd rather drive, especially when it's £6.99 which is double what the original Cubixx cost when it came out. Bargain! ;)

Turns out I was wrong. Alien Zombie Megadeath, from PomPom Games, is hitting the North American PS Store tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it will be accompanied by three of Hydravision's formerly Europe-exclusive Minis. I'll prepare the "junk" tag. . . .

As I've said before I'm really looking forward to Cubixx HD. I also like the name and am glad its not called "Cubixx II: The Wrath of Khan" or some other nonsense. Allthough I did like the movie. :p

I've been trying to spread the word re; Cubixx HD on other forums too, e.g. Eurogamer who've been good about it and even changed the topic subject header to help people find it.

However, I was modded on GameFAQs (no Karma loss fortunately) as someone reported me for spamming, although I specifically checked the TOU and it said nothing about promoting games. Why would it? The only stuff on the no-no list was other websites, non-gaming products etc.

Someone made a topic on the 'Cubixx HD' board saying the game was trash and not to buy it and sent me a PM saying I was an evil spammer. I'm not evil!!!! Am I?! ;_;

Allthough I did like the movie. :p

It's one of the greatest movies of all time. Not a bad way to break out for Kirstie Alley and James Horner.

Huh, so this guy claims that a game he has never played himself, and which has not even been released for anyone to play, for that matter, is trash. Sounds like an open-minded fellow!

LJ are also doing a Duæl Invaders code giveaway on Twitter. And I've just lowered my chances of winning it. . . .

Al, you're not evil. You're just a mutant. Don't know what need the X-Men would have for a guy with 3 right thumbs, though. Maybe Magneto would take you in--and then you'd be evil.

By the way, if you can find that unused German term for "homer," I'm extremely curious as to what it is.

whoah, I was surprised to see so little activity on your facebook page. For future reference, the updates on facebook show very few posts by friends or pages, but show almost all pictures. I don't know if it's just because I click on most all the photo updates or if it's like this for everyone. I assume it has something to do with the new 'display updates from people/pages I interact with most' option (not exact wording).
I use that dumb option because I can't scroll through older updates otherwise, it just says 'nothing more to display' or something similar.
