PSP Minis

   I read the review where it got 5/10, but I'm usually not letting reviews alone decide whether or not to purchase so hopefully someone here can tell me a little more about pros and cons? Also are there any other game bugs than the $100,000 'bonus' you'll get every time you re-start the game, or has that already been fixed?

   I agree with a "meh" score. If you have the money burning a hole in your psn wallet then you could certainly burn it on this mini. The controls are clunky and not very user friendly. The combat inconsistent and challenging. If there were more support for the game I'd be a little more positive. The real time mechanic is clever but doesn't match up with my real time. I even tried changing the settings on my psp. With all the bad said, I do like the variety of missions and the fact it keeps you coming back for more. It's a unique game as far as minis go and resembles the original GTA. Sorry for the novel. Hope it helps.

   Thank you for the reply. What do you mean by "If there were more support for the game I'd be a little more positive"? Is the game really that broken? Hmm, now I'm not too sure whether I should stay clear or not.

   I own GTA Chinatown and didn't find it to my liking. Apart from the controlling of the car (which is fantastic) I dislike missions where I have to shoot people within a limited time. I also found the GPS system and e-mail reading annoying. That's why I was looking for something simpler. And now that I bought Car Jack Streets I'm happy. It's more like the first GTA game - very simple, very funny.

   necropost. This game just came on sale. I assume it was never patched? I really want to get this as I've beaten Chinatown Wars but don't want to 100% it. I like the smoother graphics in this, nicely cartoony. Is this maybe better ar only 3 bucks?

   EDIT: I'm just gonna pull out my UMD of Chinatown Wars. Watched a gameplay video of Car Jack Streets on youtube... that collision detection would kill it for me. Too bad, the concept of real time debts would deff'ly make for an addictive experience.

   Youtube seems to be the best place to see if you'd like a mini. It's saved me quite a bit of cash for stuff that either I outright wouldn't like or would play for 5 minutes and quit.

   I've yet to beat Chinatown Wars. I play a mission or two every couple of months and then it just sits on my Go for another few moths.
