Hey all!

Blimp: The Flying Adventures is nearly perfect port of the iPhone version. But one aspect of the game was not ported very well to PSP - the price!
That has been fixed now as the price has been permanently dropped to only 1.99 USD / 1.99 EUR! Permanently!

And if you still don't feel like we are already giving it almost for free... well, then we will give it for free :-)

Below is a European download code for Blimp. But one character is missing and is replaced with "?" The first one to find the correct final character is a happy new owner of the game! :-)

Let the race begin! :-)

What if, by some happy mistake... someone ends up with £20 or £50 (I know... wishful thinking... 'look up there in the sky... there's a pig!') of PSN credit. ;)

Downloaded it to my laptop, but I'll install it to my PSP at home. It does look fun judging from the trailer, though.

Congrats, HappyGamer, and welcome. I enjoyed Blimp and found it worth its original US PSP price, and I hope you enjoy it as well. If you play it and want to post your scores, there is a thread for this game in this forum's High Scores section. Don't forget to put yourself on the leaderboard at Grip Games' website, too. If you manage to do what I couldn't and get a gold medal on Level 20, I'll kill you. Wait, no, that came out wrong. I'll just beat the stuffing out of you.

Its a real fun mini, around a 8-9 for me! I just beat the game on easy today and now i'm turning to hard.

I played all of each level's 3 difficulties, in increasing degree, before moving on to the next level. The way I figured it, this shortened the overall time spent beating the game (on every difficulty, that is), because familiarity with a given level made it easier to beat on the succeeding difficulties; you weren't wasting time relearning the layout of the level.

Just out of curiosity - when you play the game for the first time, do you start with the easy difficulty or the medium difficulty? :-)
The medium difficulty is the way the game is supposed to be played, but we have encountered a lot of people, including reviewers, who only played the easy difficulty and then have complained about the game being boring and quickly finished.

What is your take on this?

I personally play games (including Blimp) on medium, unless I get spanked and need to reduce the difficulty level (as I did with Ace Armstrong!).

This is a fantastic game and worth every penny.

With Blimp (not necessarily so with other games), I beat a level's Easy mode first, using it sort of as training, or perhaps more like reconnaissance, for the timed difficulty modes, which I then play immediately after completing the Easy version. If people are playing only Easy and then complaining about the game being too easy, then they have no business publishing their views on video games for others to see.

I play my games on normal/medium like always because I normally don't replay them. Maybe after a year but not after a week.

2 EUR for Blimp that sound really reasonable. How many weaopons can you use in the game?

There is just one weapon, but the game is really not about weapons, but about navigating the levels, not colliding with anything and using the bomb attack wisely :-)

pspgamer01, to add to what Jakub said, it's generally more of a timed maze/puzzle game with gravity and enemies than a shooting game. There are a few levels with lots of combat, but it's not, say, Contra or Metal Slug.
