Pac Man CE is coming out later this year.
Nope, unfortunately. That was my big hope for Minis, but most shooters we've gotten are the "bullet hell" sort which are almost unplayable for me (exception being the Flying Hamster).
@OPAZO
Not a Mini, but the Namco Museum Battle Collection has both Pac-man and Galaga

Futurlab hinted that mini #2 is going to be a vertical shooter, which is closer to galaga, well, they actually hinted at "not horizontal". considering it is in space, they might have meant that as the term horizontal is actually meant to indicate direction relative to gravitational pull, and thus it is actually incorrect to describe a space shmup as horizontal, nor vertical, unless there is an object of great mass present....... but they probably didnt mean that! :D
and yes, they are releasing pac man CE for minis, but since it is a port from other platforms, which do not have a "galaga CE" (if you will), so it is unlikely that we will see it on minis, since it doesn't exist.
Galaga is on Namco Museum Battle Collection so, if you would like to play Galaga on your psp, I would refer you to it, OPAZO. it has pac man, too. :D
What bullet hell games are there on minis?
@igotmy9milli
None that I know of.
Thanks everybody!
for all the info!
I might buy Flying Hamster even thoe Ace Armstrong looks awesome! but it got terrible review!
@SiDCrAzY
That's what I thought! :S
@OPAZO
Don't let the Ace review put you off, the reviewer couldn't even get to the first boss so he missed 80% of the game....
@igotmy9milli LMAO okey, ill trust you...But I dont know if I should buy then Ace or WTF?! (the upcoming game)...so i dont know if i should w8 or not.
If only Namco Museum Battle Collection was available on the PSN Store.
Isn't Riff: Everyday Shooter's gameplay a little like Galaga's? I haven't tried Riff: Everyday Shooter, but I thought it might be similar?
riff is boring. I prefer super stardust portable sold over that game.
@ Rein
In Riff: Everyday Shooter you shoot in every direction at enemies comming at you from every direction.
Riff gameplay is like Smash TV, or like Re-Loaded (and the first game Loaded). ;)
I always get Galaga and Galaxian mixed up.
@thumbbandit
Are you referring to "Re-Loaded" the top down shooter PSX game? I thought Riff is nothing like that? I own Re-Loaded and to me the games look very different judging by the game trailer of Riff I watched. Is Riff a bad game?
@pspgamer01
Why is Riff boring, is it the pace that's too slow? And what do you like about Super Stardust Portable?
@ Rein
I think they did a great job with the game. It has a high score table, stunning visuals, 3 different weapons, etc.

Agreed :-( I would absolutely love to buy NMBC but I need it on PSN as I use a PSPgo.
I confirm that Riff, which I assume is what we in the US know simply as Everyday Shooter, plays like Smash TV, as thumbbandit said (and also like genre originator Robotron 2084). In contrast to pspgamer01, I like the game a lot. I have never made it to the final stage, but it's great fun for me in pretty much every other stage (and it has a single-stage play mode and several challenge modes). What makes the game so engaging is the fact that every single stage plays differently from the others, not to mention looks completely unique as well. It also helps that the gameplay is quite frenetic and somewhat bullet hellish in its demand for precision, given the pixel size of the player object. I'm not sure why pspgamer01 doesn't like it. My personal view of Super Stardust HD was that I didn't like its demo. Something about the feel of the play didn't hit me right, whereas Everyday Shooter feels right on target.
@ onmode-ky the game would have been soooo much better to me if it had a custom music track option.

I love everyday shooter, Jonathan Mak (who really did everything (programming, music/sounds, art) for the original pc version) did a fantastic job on it, it really is a masterpiece, and a shining example of the brilliance that can come out of a little indie game made with nothing but a little knowledge of things, and a heck of alot of love for games, and you have to respect it for that reason.
I've said several times in the past: I love independent videogames!
what I love about them the most, is easily, the fact that they are always a labor of love. Its almost always a few guys (or less), with some creativity, some love for games, and.... well, thats it, isnt it? and thats why I love minis, because a majority of them are independent games, I love games, and respect those who have the guts to just say "I'm going to spend this time in my life to make a game".
so when you (pspgamer) go and say, you dont look forward to something, because its not like [a big budget title] (which you have recently done a couple times) is just wrong IMO. I have nothing against you but I think you might be missing the point of these games.
I recently came across Super Stardust Portable whilst, er, doing some research for a game I'm working on (oh, the joys of being an independent game developer :) ). Personally I really loved it. Certainly a lot more frenetic that the Galaga style games OPAZO or JeremyR are looking for, but addictive and worthwhile none the less. To me is felt like it was somewhere between a "traditional" '80s arcade shmup and the more recent bullet-hell types.
I really enjoyed Super Stardust on the PS3 with it's two sticks, but while still playable I couldn't "downgrade" to the PSP's controls.
Plus SSHD looks so beautiful compared to the PSP.
@ carson I just said my opinion about the game. Maybe I should have added 'IMO' in the post that I made. I respect the people that like the game.

Where do you get that from? Because I hate pix'n love rush and 3,2,1 supercrash? That was not because they weren't big budget title but just because I didn't like them. Click on my name then check out my description on youtube to see my minis collection if you want.

from the pictures it looks so cheap with not much variety. I already have Sega mega drive collection that has much better side scrollers platformers. like ristar, sonic the hedgehog, comix zone, vector man 1 and 2. You know what I mean?
and you were just comparing everyday shooter to super stardust, which is why I said that, because super stardust fits in [big budget title].
I'm just saying that everyday shooter wasnt made to be like super stardust and geometry wars, on a comparable level, yes the control style is the same, but the real style of it is so different and unique, that I cant stand it when people say 'this game is better than it' because it feels like they are completely disregarding the style of everyday shooter, and therefore, don't get the point of it.
I hope you know that I am not personally attacking you, I do respect you, but there are people who feelings on indie games are echoed by the things you say sometimes (I'm sure you dont carry the exact opinions I am arguing agianst), although of course, you do have respect for indie games, you wouldn't be here otherwise, but wouldent you be annoyed just a little if someone said "nah, Coconut Dodge is stupid... lets play CODMW2"?

Totally dude! You gotta love indie games, web app creators, map and mod makers!
Check out http://www.moddb.com, http://www.indiedb.com and http://www.quaddicted.com for examples of strong and vibrant indie game/mod communities. It warms the heart! ;-)
Custom background music would not have made sense in Everyday Shooter, because the music, visuals, and gameplay are all intertwined. It's not quite as weird as asking for custom background music in Rock Band, but it's up there with asking for it in TIE Fighter (the original version of which used LucasArts' iMUSE system, which changed the music depending on what was going on in the game).
Incidentally, I don't think the Super Stardust titles count as big budget. True, they're not one-man projects, but the developer, Housemarque, is indie as far as I know. Nonetheless, it is true that Everyday Shooter has a more esoteric, "indie" feel to it than SSHD/SSP.
@ carson
Alright, you won this discussion! ;) I will do some research with 'Riff: everyday shooter' and give it another try to like it. :)
EDIT: did some more research but still don't like it :|.
I am just really careful with my money since I've been a lot ripped off. for example with the following minis:
tehra dark warrior
The Terminator
normal tanks
I own Everyday Shooter and I think its a pretty decent game. But im stuck on the second last level :|

@ carsonthat's too bad, I'm sorry you feel that way, perhaps I'm just a sucker for a game thats bursting with such strange yet refreshing originality, and not everyone else is.

Thanks for the positive posts describing "Riff: Everyday Shooter". They made me decide to purchase the game. It's absolutely everything you guys described and more! I really love its looks, sounds and gameplay. I can't believe I didn't try it out sooner. What a gem!
If "REZ" and "Smash TV" got together "Riff" would be their lovechild. ;)
