Alien zombie death….you see that name and think “WHAT THE HECK!?”. Well don’t judge by the name, its actually really fun and addicting!
You play as a lone space man, in space doing…..something. You kill little alien zombies, this may sound harmless enough…until there are two hundred of them trying to eat you. There is a reasonably wide range of enemy’s. from the standard green alien to much larger, projectile launching, blob. Each enemy takes a certain amount of shots to kill, which keeps it interesting.
The level design is very good! You can play on fourteen levels or “moons” which you unlock by earning medals. Mostly the levels look the same though some are a little bigger. And just to add to the confusion of shooting aliens, plasma beams and spinning saws scroll across the screen. Its really hard to keep from hitting one of these while at the same time trying to fend off from hundreds of aliens. On that note the game is VERY challenging!
The controls are simple and easy to get a hang of. You use square to shoot left and circle to shoot right. You can use either the analog stick or the D-Pad to move. Push UP and you jump to the level above you. Push DOWN and obviously you go to the level below. And of course you use right and left to move right and left. I prefer the D-Pad because if you use the analog stick you may jump up or down by accident, and that could kill you.
The only thing I found flawed was-Not many power ups, and they have a timer which runs way too fast to actually use the weapon.
