You can rate the avatar by content, so for example if I wanted to upload a photo of some tits as my avatar because I'm a member of a porn site I could do that, but that image would not be displayed to anyone who has said they only want to view safe images.</p> <p>Another thing is that the avatar is linked to your email address and so you can register as many avatars as you like to as many email addresses as you like (I own two companies, I freelance and I have my own personal life - each has a different address) and each one can have a different image. You can change that image at any point and it will be updated on every forum where you posted with that email address.</p> <p>The only down-side really is that not many networks support it, though I think their list of supported networks is growing slowly. You may have deliberately disabled them, I don't know, but if you have then maybe you want to take out that little hint. Alternatively maybe they're supposed to be working, in which case there's a bug. :P </p>
