Edge Online reports that Necrosoft is bringing their game, Oh, Deer! (shown above) to PlayStation Mobile, along with a game entitled “Gunhouse,” which perhaps is based on the Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter.
“With Oh Deer, which is a driving game, not a racing game, once I heard we could use buttons, I gave a cheer,” he said. “But with Gunhouse, you control the direction of guns but also grab puzzle pieces which you arrange into a shape inside of the house itself. That pretty much only works with touch, so we are going in both directions at once.”

Super Icon has updates on their upcoming PlayStation Mobile title, MegaBlast. There are not many details yet, but this game is an “old-skool” score-attack shooter game. There will be an upgrade system, and one of the highlights of this game is the intense gameplay that coincides with the luminous retro graphics. According to Richard Hill-Whitall, Super Icon’s Creative Director, MegaBlast is influenced by Galaga, Xevious, Moon Cresta, and obviously Space Invaders. The game is in the final phase of approval and is expected to be released early Q2 2013.
Sony has been holding game jams (contests where developers have a short amount of time to make a game from scratch) at indie game development conventions. They haven’t really talked about it much publicly, but apparently they flew in the winners of the various game jams to GDC and formally announced them, as well as other PS Mobile titles at GDC. Some of these we knew about, others we didn’t. Or at least I didn’t.

Our friend Takao stopped by to mention news of Wolfgang Wozniak apparently porting a game called “Magic Planet Snack Deluxe” to PS Mobile, which seems to be sort of like Hungry Giraffe, only with pixel art.
But much more interesting is that he is apparently working on “a short, retro-pixel-art-style RPG” (presumably) for PS Mobile as well, called Golden Nights. Which I’m guessing is based on the Arabian Nights.
(big thanks to Takao)
I’m guessing this is one of those games that might not leave Japan. But you never know. It’s from Emily & Charlotte Lounge, who may be actual people or the name of a company. At any rate, I see them posting a lot on the official PlayStation Mobile forums, so they seem to know their stuff.

Hermit Crab in Space from Golden Ruby Games was a finalist in a recent game jam sponsored by Sony. The game has been finished and sent to Sony, and they have just released some screens.
As this is part of a competition Sony is holding, who knows when it will actually be released. But it looks to be an interesting take on the space shooter. Read the rest of ”Hermit Crab in Space Screens Released” »
