BreakQuest: Extra Evolution Releasing October 16th/17th


The sequel to BreakQuest, BreakQuest: Extra Evolution from Beatshapers, has been given a release date of October 16th in NA and October 17th in Europe. Like the original, it’s an updated version of the classic Breakout/Arkanoid-style game where you must bounce a ball back and forth against bricks and other targets without letting the ball get past your paddle.

For all the hullabaloo Wizorb caused, I thought the original BreakQuest was superior, so I’m looking forward to this.

    How much do you want to bet that it won’t be Vita compatible in NA?

    Devs, any update on the new Carnivores game??

    It’d be cool if more than one hunt-able dinosaur were on the same map instead of just one.

    Also, did you publish Wizorb? I have the game on PC and it shows a different publisher/developer.

    Yep, Beatshapers didn’t make it. But they published it.

    They port over a lot of great games from other platforms to Minis.

    I wish they’d port the second game in the Mystery of the Crystal Portal series though, since G5 obviously isn’t.

    O – yeah, thats might be an issue with Vita, its SCEA territory, I cannot do anything here :(
    Freelance – New Carnivores is in progress, we integrated new dinosaurs, now making cool achievements system (like: killed T-rex 10 meters distance), and waitng for Tatem for new dinosaurs (they are terribly slow)
    Freelance – we (with help of SPL) ported Wizorb to minis and published it on playstation stores worldwide.

    Our secret_title_2 going to Sony QA on Monday, ill reveal it soon, release probably on November.

    Yay! It sounds better already! Guess it’s not gonna come out anytime soon though. Are you gonna be moving it to PSM or will it remain as a Mini?

    I didn’t care much for BreakQuest at first. However, after a few tries, the game grew on me. The variety and creativity in the levels was great. Many levels have unusual play mechanics that you don’t typically find in games like this. I’d love to see how this follow-up turns out.
