Time Soldiers and Gang Wars Hitting Next Week

Forum member Nexus Prime spotted a post over at PSN Stores which has next week’s PSN releases. Along with Wizorb and the NA release of I Kill Zombies, there are two more classic SNK arcade games, Time Soldiers and Gang Wars. These games weren’t developed by SNK, only published, but SNK later bought out the developer, Alpha Denshi.

Gang Wars appears to star Jackie Chan (or at least his lookalike) and is a 2D beat ‘em-up from 1989. Time Soldiers is a run-and-gun game in the vein of Front Line, Ikari Warriors, and Commando and first came out in 1987. They’ve been rated by the European ratings board, so an EU release should occur as well.

Huh, I wonder if this means that the final SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 0 game not yet released as a Mini, Super Champion Baseball, really isn’t going to get a release.

Is that nose big enough to be Jackie’s?

Hello. Not been on this site for ages and i was just looking at the games list and there is hardly anything new, would you say the release of the vita has had an impact on minis?

  3. JeremyR says:

Hey, good to see you min.

It sure seems like it, although a lot of the developers that used to make Minis have seen to have moved to the PS3 rather than Vita, or doing games for both.

It’s a real shame. I actually feel that the PS Vita’s arrival has been a let-down. I don’t own one but I have had a shot of in in a store once and I never found it all that great. The twin sticks were all right I guess but apart from that I don’t think it was a success. When the PSP came out, everyone wanted one but after a while, they got bored of them and sold them on. I think this is the reason that the sales for PS Vita are so low in every country apart from Japan, they loved the PSP so they love the Vita.
I feel like there is still a lot of thing that we COULD be getting as minis like Infinity Blade with Vita’s touch screen. That would be a success right?

PS- it’s good to see you to JeremyR, I have missed this site, it’s great reviews and most of all its members.

I still haven’t actually even seen a Vita. I finally saw a Vita kiosk today while shopping, but the Vita was absent from it.

I think the Playstation Suite program for the Vita will probably help a lot in terms of games, but I think Infinity Blade is going to be iOS only for well, forever. They don’t even want to put that on Android.

the sticks and buttons on Vita don’t feel nearly as good compared to 3000, that’s about the only problem i have with it…
