Wizorb Releasing July 24/25th

It’s been quiet on the Minis front this month, but that will change next week with the long awaited release of Wizorb. It’s a Breakout/Arkanoid-style game combined with a JRPG-style fantasy setting.

Originally by Tribute Games and brought to Minis by Beatshapers, Wizorb has gotten rave reviews on other platforms and will sell for $3.99 (and presumably the equivalent of that in Europe). Doesn’t look like it will work on the Vita at release, but it should work eventually. We’ll see.

Update: The European release will be Vita-compatible right away. Good for SCEE.

(thanks to Alexey Menshikov from Beatshapers for mentioning this in the comments of this week’s Store update post, and to Takao for mentioning the NA PlayStation Blog post)

Every minis release in Europe automatically made compatible with PS Vita.
For some reasons its not on US. Canabalt took more than month to be released in Vita store :(
But for sure, better late than never :D

sniper712, are you thinking of one of the games JeremyR mentioned in his article or something else?

  6. sniper712 says:

    onmode,

i think it’s like one of those games that’s like pong, but you play it with one paddle and the goal is to bounce the balls, it hits the blocks until all blocks are hit without it going past the “paddle” while it get’s smaller.

Ah, okay, so you are indeed talking about Breakout/Arkanoid.
