Destructoid recently ran a feature on Brisbane-based developer Halfbrick where Halfbrick’s head of marketing, Phil Larsen, revealed that Blast Off will be released as a mini in the North American store on Tuesday 24^th November. No news yet about pricing, or about release dates in any other territories. As with Halfbrick’s other mini to date, Echoes, Blast Off first appeared back in April on Xbox Live Community Games as part of the Australian studio’s Halfbrick Fridays series. As you can probably tell from the screenshot, Blast Off is a space adventure in which the player flies a space ship and attempts to rescue lost astronauts. Apparently, trying to control and steer your ship while fighting against the gravitational pull of nearby planets and asteroids is a big part of the physics-based gameplay. If it’s as good as Echoes it’ll be well worth a look. We’ll have all the details and more when Blast Off is released tomorrow in North America.
