More Info on Defenders of the Mystic Garden
Twisted Dragon updated their site with more info on their upcoming Mini, Defenders of the Mystic Garden. As they previously mentioned, it’s a tower defense game where you must protect the gnomes’ garden from being pillaged by a horde of ravaging something or other.
You do this by placing a number of adventurers of various classes at certain points on the map, who then attack the incoming invaders. Apparently they will patrol a given path rather than simply stay fixed like a tower, and they can also level up. As shown in the picture, each map has three different difficulties.

this looks mint. Is the bottom row the waves of enemies? or a different style of TD for the archer?
@ confuletlyf: The styl of TD is the same, however the approach to the level is much harder. The bottom row levels are designed so that if you place a Ranger unit, then she can hit enemies from two lanes., though she doesn’t hit as hard.
There are 4 themed levels, one for each character, and each has 3 level variants. For the most part the play style is the same, and this makes for 12 different levels of defense.
I’m still hard at work on the balancing, ranges, attack power, attack rates, costs of upgrades, and enemy health.
I hope to have a video featuring at least one of the player units and some of the enemies with in-game play. Those that have seen it so far, claim that the cartoon feel of the artwork has made its way into the game, which is our ultimate goal. Hopefully it will pay off and be worth it!
