Upcoming—Carnivores: Ice Age

Beatshapers and Tatem Games announce their upcoming Mini, Carnivores: Ice Age, sequel to Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter. The first Carnivores incarnation featured dinosaurs for you to hunt. This time, it will be a variety of prehistoric Ice Age animals to hunt down across five huge explorable 3D maps. Also, expect the same arsenal of weapons you used in the first game, including the tranquilizer. There is no further information on its price and release date, but this game is expected to be released in August 2011, so be back here often!

And it’s due out in August….

Awesome news – I loved the original Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter and so I’m delighted to learn that the sequel is due to be released next month! :-)

  4. AG Awesome says:

Did they ever update the control choices for Dinosaur Hunter? I dont think any companies update Mini’s anymore, or if they do, there isnt a way to find out.

  5. onmode-ky says:

The best way to find out about Minis updates is probably to read this site. If it’s not reported in the main blog, it might be mentioned by someone in the forum. Or, if no one here knows, then on a game-by-game basis, you’d have to contact the developer/publisher to find out.

Well, I suppose you could also just delete your game, re-download, and see if it has a different version number now.

  6. AG Awesome says:

True, I just dont get why the PSN at the least cant display the Version number. I think it used to but not anymore. Is it that hard to say Ver. 1.04 or something under the game info paragraph? Pretty pathetic IMHO.

  7. taoofgreentea says:

Right, like a single rifle shot could take out a wooly mammoth, or any dinosaur for that matter. Though I suppose I shouldn’t be asking for realism in an Ice Age hunting game…

  8. @AG Awesome: Yep, we improved controls in the Ice Age, made it more responsible, updated graphics and added new gun.

  9. onmode-ky says:

Alexey, did you mean the first game or this game? AG Awesome was asking about the first game, whether it received an update.

  10. carl says:

I would not like to kill a Wooly mammoth. I would prefer to take pictures of it with my camera :(
