Twisted Dragon’s M.O.Z.O.X. Space Salvager leaked by the ESRB

Twisted Dragon Media has been working on an ambitious and very strange title for Minis for a while, Revenge of the Recipe. But they’ve also had another project secretly in the works.

They were apparently going to wait until it was done to announce it, but the ESRB has let the cat out of the bag. Of course, the way things seem to work, it’s a space shooter. M.O.Z.O.X. Space Salvager:

This is a space shooter in which players pilot a small ship, collect orbs, and defeat waves of enemy ships and asteroids. Players can choose from a side-scrolling or third-person perspective as they fire colorful lasers, rockets, and missiles; enemy ships and bosses disappear in brief explosions.

Side-scrolling at least. The announcement for this was originally planned for last week, but apparently they ran into a bug with the PS3 emulation which has caused a delay.

Haha, I forgot about the ESRB release. Well the cat is out of the bag. The funny thing is that it was originally planned for a 12/21 release just like A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks. Due to the discovered bug, it’s been pushed to early next year. I’ll have specifics soon. We are waiting to hear back if we have corrected the emulation issue.

Once we know, we’ll throw a trailer together to show of the Action Camera (what ESRB refers to as the third person. In our play-testing, we’ve had a lot of positive feedback. We had some higher aspirations for the game but now that we went from about 2 shooters to about 8 by the time this comes out, the shooter market is pretty loaded, so we’ll see what the community thinks.

    More to come soon.

Has M.O.Z.O.X. highscore table and achievements?

In its current build, it has a high score, but it’s not a table. This game does not have achievements. Hopefully I will be able to provide more details soon about what our plan was for this game. We will be looking for a lot of community feedback. I can’t say too much just yet, but check back soon.
