Mad Blocker Alpha Knocked into 2011?

Mad Blocker Alpha, a puzzle game announced back in August from Open Emotion Studios, has apparently been slightly delayed and might not make its original release date of December 2010.

The delay seems to have more to do with the limited release windows in December, because Sony seemingly takes off for the entire month.

It’s a shame, I was looking forward to discovering just what a “Fluzzle” is.

    Why is it called Alpha?

  2. JeremyR says:

Because it’s a spin off of regular Mad Blocker, which is a flash game.

Wasn’t sure to add that, because it was mentioned in our original story. But maybe I should have.

I wish I worked for Sony, I could use a month off.

I’m still getting this game when it comes out… just might have to wait a little longer is all. ;)

I’m still looking forward to this game – it’s a shame to wait, but it’s only a few weeks ;-)

Cheers for the support dudes. It’s not that they take a month off, ha ha. It’s just that submissions need to be in earlier cause so much stuff goes up on the store over Xmas that they need to process it all. They are very hard working in fairness to them. Awesome that you guys are so hyped about the game, I am fully sure it’s gonna live up to you guys expectations and hopefully even exceed them :)

    All the best,

    Paddy Murphy,
    CEO, Open Emotion Studios

Well, it’s not just that they are busy, last year they actually did take off 2 1/2 weeks for the Christmas-New Year’s Eve holiday. There was an update on the 22nd, then the next was on the 7th.

Which personally I thought was crazy, here you have all these people and kids getting PS3s and PSPs, and boom, no store updates ’til well after the new year.

Not to be a scrooge, but other companies manage to do it.
