Blimp: The Flying Adventures floats to Minis

In a stunning departure from their first Mini, 5-in-1 Arcade Hits, Grip Games is bringing over an iPhone game, Blimp: The Flying Adventures as their next Mini. Despite the screens, it’s apparently more of a platformer than shooter, and it’s due out this Fall.

The player must help the resistance movement by transporting passengers and goods, placing bombs, protecting valuable targets and, of course, decimating the enemy forces using the blimp’s airstrike attack.

The game contains 20 beautiful, hand-drawn, levels scattered around dark forests, mines, red rocks and snowy mountains. This, together with an original soundtrack and blimp’s innovative flight mechanics, create an experience like no other.

This version of Blimp: The Flying Adventures will contain several graphical enhancements, new game modes and Grip Games’ unique Global Leaderboards feature.

Hopefully their purple haired mascot (who I call Greta Grip) will make some sort of cameo.

Hey will it have an time limit option? Because it’s frustration with the time clock.

  2. Time limit will be only in the harder difficulty settings for the folks who like it hardcore. For everyone else, who loves to enjoy the scenery, casual mode will be absolutely time limit free :-)

Good point. We think the same way and so we added various levels of difficulty.

Never really enjoyed this game, but it was very pretty. I don’t know if I’ll get it again, depends on the price.

  8. I am pretty sure that the price will be under 5€. Even under 4€ :-)

I haven’t seen the iPhone verison, but this looks like an interesting twist on the platformer/puzzler/shooter genre. Can’t wait to see how this plays :-)
