The Game Atelier sent us a robust press release regarding the release date of their mini: The Flying Hamster. Flying Hamster is an action-horizontal shooter that lets you control Newton a…well, a flying hamster to save his girl. This game will be released on Sept. 8th, 2010 priced at 6.99€. North American players will have to wait for future updates regarding the date of its release in their territories. Here are The Flying Hamster’s features:

  • 6 unique environments packed with fun from the sunflower fields to the big Japanese city or crazy ancient Egypt
  • 8 freaky weapons scattered among the levels
  • More than 35 different enemies (sneaky penguins, anti-air cows, exploding foxes, ninja squirrels, toaster-robots…)
  • 6 dreadful and unpredictable bosses
  • A neat and powerful Soundtrack made from catchy tunes and killer guitar solos
  • An unlockable Hard Mode specifically designed for veteran players

    This game just cracks me up every time I watch those trailers! :-)

    The art style is simply georgous and the humour is classic tongue-in-cheek Japanese-style. Despite the humourous nature of the graphics, the gameplay appears to be very robust side-scrolling shooter action. What a combination! :-)
