The Mystery of the Crystal Portal mystifying Minis?

The ESRB recently rated The Mystery of the Crystal Portal, a hidden object game published by G5 Entertainment, who seem to be in the process of turning most of their catalog into Minis. It’s been one of the more popular ones on the PC and recently received a sequel (though in a twist, not published by G5, which makes me wonder if we will see that as a Mini).
You play an extremely cute journalist who is looking for her vanished father, an archaeologist. You go all over the world, finding hidden objects which somehow lets you discover him, as well as The Mystery of the Crystal Portal. Hidden Object finding, is there anything it can’t do?
It will be the second Hidden Object Game to grace the Minis program, the first being Route 66. It will be interesting to see how the transition is handled, Route 66 did it by zooming in the screen 4x the PC version and letting you scroll around, which worked pretty well.

finding hidden objects???
sounds meh.
hope there’s more to this game ,than that
Well, yes and no. This is actually an “IHOG”, which is an “Interactive Hidden Object Game”, or basically there are some adventure game elements to it..
But still, you pretty much just find hidden objects. Which is actually pretty fun and probably the biggest casual game genre right now.
