Championship Manager 2010 – Upcoming Mini
Run for the hills! The world’s most addictive footie/soccer management sim is coming to minis! Yes, Championship Manager Brand, um, Manager Tim Hodges posted a surprise entry on the official European PlayStation Blog yesterday that will warm the hearts of anyone who’s ever had the pleasure of totally devoting their every waking moment to playing Championship Manager on PC.
They always used to say it was far too brimful of stats to ever squeeze onto a console, so it’s amazing to think that the game can actually now fit onto a mini. Technology, eh, it’s fab!
To those who have yet to experience the joys of Championship Manager, it’s a football (or soccer) management simulator that lets you control and manage teams from the UK, Europe and the world. Most fans would say it’s the best one out there. Here’s what Tim Hodges had to say about the game in the PlayStation Blog:
“Controlling all aspects from player training, to transfers, squad selection, match day tactics and more, Champ Man 2010 is your chance to prove all your talk down the pub and from the terraces isn’t just hot air.
In this updated version for minis players will be able to manage on the move, with teams from England, France and Italy. Players can look forward to comparing themselves to the managerial greats from around the world to see if you have what it takes to manage your team to success whilst keeping the fans, press, board and players happy. It’s a tough job, can you do it?”
Yes, Tim, yes I can! Ahem, anyway, according to the blog, the Champ Man folks have been working closely with Dynamo Games on the minis version, with the aim of giving minis players something different, but still with the flavor of the PC version. And, you’ll all be pleased to know, the game will have all official teams and player names. No word yet on pricing or release date though, but Tim promises regular updates. Yay!
